To celebrate the launch of this wine in our stores, we had the Catena family representative, Anita, and 4th generation winemaker, Laura Catena, visit the stores down in San Francisco to share more about this latest release and the rest of their wines. About the Birth of Cabernet from Catena Zapata:
”The love story. Once upon a time, a bee (or two) went from the flowers of a Cabernet Franc vine to the flowers of a Sauvignon Blanc vine, and a seedling child began to ripen inside the mother grapes. Then came war, and the vineyard was abandoned. Years later, the vintner returned to his land and found a new vine. He tasted the grapes and fell in love. It was Cabernet Sauvignon.

Today, we celebrate this legacy by presenting our new label, a tribute to the unique heritage and passion that gave life to this iconic wine.”
