bass & dance music from the Florida Gulf coast. Smow Queed is an artist who's been passionate about music since he was a kid.

During his early teens, he fully embraced the worlds of hiphop and hardcore punk: He came up with the phrase "hip-hop mentality, punk rock attitude," initially focusing on hip-hop as a DJ but eventually expanding his interests and flow, finding a thriving home in Florida's underground electronic and rave scene. From the angst of punk to the upfront nature of hip-hop and the mesmerizing punch of ha

rdcore electronica, Smow Queed had developed a unique background that helped him achieve a diverse outlook on music. Fortuitously, one of his friends suggested he join a dance meet-up/clinic at his house, which enabled him to start picking music and selecting playlists. He discovered he had a penchant for DJ sets and using song selections in order to build the perfect mood and vibes. Soon after, he moved from using his phone and laptop to actually work with Traktor and bring his flow to the next level. He even took up turntables, which enabled him to take his DJ career to the next level. To this day, Smow Queed can be found playing styles as diverse as Miami bass, Nola bounce, Jersey club, House, Hip-hop, Reggaeton, and Dancehall, only to name a few! His sound is organic and dynamic, and using vinyl actually allows him to ignite some extra warmth and unpredictability to his flow. You never know what you're gonna get when you're crate digging! Currently, Smow Queed focuses primarily on bass-oriented dance music while still retaining a very open and one-of-a-kind mindset. b4 u tldr this, jus jump to the p.s.⁽³⁾'s...
welp! i typed out a fu**in journal entry more or less and my browser froze up and crashed, (second attempt starting now), way to personal, about music and florida and how life hurt like a mf'er this past year and how more often than not, music chooses me, and how 2 years ago i had a spiritual or mystical type experience, fr though, and it was and still is like somehow a fire deep within got lit and ive had a burning desire to create, and it's dope no doubt but f**k it makes the already cathartic process that making music is, that much heavier.

sometimes i question if i love this s**t fr and fr that's a dumb question cuz music got some attitude, jus like the bi***es i've dated, straight up, music dont care, music loves me and when it's time to make some music, i make some music. sometimes its all consuming and i have to give more than i have to offer as corny as that might sound, but those sessions are funny, i'll stop and play what i got and it jus flat out sux, that s**t always gives me a good laugh. but fr i'm still here. still making noise and diggin thru crates in my grandparent's garage.
no matter if i'm making music for me, mixing music for you, always heavy in my heart and always on my mind, all my people locked up doin time, and all the ones who dipped out on us and moved onto whatever is next and beyond being alive. see ya 2024. wuddap 2025!

p.s.s. it's been strange that my growing catalog of released music as of right now isn't very indicative of the wide and deep range of music i enjoy playing, but i can say that i've been cookin up some weird ass bass music, fr i been getting ignorant wit it, blow ya speakers up, perforate ya eardrums type s**t.
