It might be a little cold but grills should be lit today and lets get this town smelling like good old summer with some grilled meat and Vegetables! I will be wrapping Asparagus and whole cloved garlic in bacon then grilling with olive oil, also red skinned potatoes and lemon pepper chicken! Dinner will be great!

Les Cheneaux Culinary School class of 2016 graduate Joel Carpenter came to open his catering business after a few successful events he catered or hosted. He is from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where he was born and raised. He found his passion for cooking at the young age of 13 when he worked at the Sault Country Club. Since then he has worked at Egypt Valley Country Club, Flanagan’s in Grand Rapids, and was the head cook at Shamrock in Grand Rapids. Joel was Executive Chef and General Manager at Studebakers in Sault Ste. Marie, which within his tenure won best Italian food and other awards that previously had never been won. Joel's culinary passions are providing amazing catering with new ways of preparation to local food and drink to provide guests with an unforgettable experience wether that's from the food, drinks or the fun he can bring to any get together.
