Home safely from the Royal Oak Charcoal Invitational. What a fantastic weekend of family and BBQ! Thank you to Craig Verhage and the Royal Oak team for putting together a first class event and rolling out the red carpet for all the teams! We were fortunate enough to hear our name called a few times:

Chicken 2nd with a perfect 180!
Ribs 15th
Pork 26th
Brisket 7th
8th overall 699.39!!

The Yes, Dear Boyz cooked Kids Q and came in 9th place!

Congratulations to Shiggin & Grinnin on RGC and our Boy Skullie!!!!! Smokin Skullies BBQ on a massive 709.53 GC!!! THAT’S HOW SKULLIE DOES IT!!! Congratulations to all that heard their name called, it is a honor in this field.

We are home from Poosa Q in Montgomery, AL. After a last minute decision to go, we were fortunate enough to hear our name called 2 times and ended up 11th overall in a stacked field of great cooks from across the country.

This weekend is traditionally The Real Squeal: Lyons Barbeque & Music Festival weekend, BUT due to the devestation of Hurricane Helene in the Lyons, GA area, they had to cancel. We reached out to Poosa Q, and we were fortunate they had a cancellation so we are headed to Wind Creek Montgomery in the morning. We continue to keep all affected by Hurricane Helene in our thoughts and prayers.
