The honeybees here have been very busy! 60 lbs were collected ! There are 45 jars left. Text me at 516 982-2303 if you're interested in a jar. When they're gone, they're gone ...until next year. We are leaving plenty for them to get through the winter :)
I will not be putting them out on the cart this year so you just let me know when you want to pick up. $20 jar

I love when brides from past weddings reach out to me for special requests. Kelsey asked if I could make a special 'class' for her Mom as a retirement present. So we had a special class/tour here. Here is Mom learning how to make a spiral bouquet ! she did a great job :)

My favorite visit yet was to one of the largest dahlia exporters in the world. They sell over 5 million tubers in 600 varieties per year!
I was treated to a lovely Dutch lunch in their beautiful home and then visited the farm.
What I found most interesting was that they don't have irrigation as we think of it. The fields are surrounded by dikes. They raise or lower the water from the surrounding canals to provide water from underneath. So cool!
Best thing yet?? New friends :)

Here a little video of the phalaenopsis exporter. Each baby plant starts with a special code that can be 'read' by computer monitors. The operation in almost entirely automated assisted by people. They export 150,000 plants per week to the EU.
Incredible to see !

I'm back from my trip to The Netherlands for a little visit with family and friends ...and some business as well. Great trip ! I visited a Campanula breeder , A phalaenopsis exporter and one of the largest dahlia exporters in the world.
Everyone was super welcoming and I loved it!

And to all who purchased bouquets from my flower cart out front while I was gone ...Thank you :)
My daughter took over bouquet making while I was away..first time for her :)

Just in time for Memorial Day get togethers....Pink lilac and coral peonies will be in my bouquets this week !
