stop by the flower cart ( 600 Lincoln Ave) and pick up some free Elderberry cuttings. Sambucus Canadensis. I'm not sure which cultivar as I have a few . They are super easy to root and by spring you can have a nice plant to row your own elderberries. It's a native and the pollinators and birds love it. (Photos not mine...) I'll post once they're all taken so you don't waste a trip :)

Counting my blessings today...

Finally finished the 'big dig' of the dahlias! I left some in the ground covered with plastic and leaf bags for the winter to get a head start for spring weddings ! They're all cleaned, divided, and organized into the dollar store boxes with some peat moss. Whew! Not my favorite job for sure...but I'm happy I have enough of many varieties to do some trades for new varieties! ( hint, hint .. looking for deep pinks and a good yellow)
That's the exciting part for me :) Visualizing and planning for next years flowers will be my job for the winter .

1800 tulips are planted !
cool season seedlings are doing well. campanula, peach foxglove, delphinium, bupleurum, orlaya, larkspur , nigella , cilantro and chamomile!....and seed collecting done !

I think I'll rest for a few days! ha!

But most of all I'm grateful for all the wonderful people that appreciate my flowers and allow me to do what I love most. I'm so grateful for all the fantastic and dedicated people I work with that help to make it all happen!

Three of my favorite installations from today at Fleurs de Villes at Americana Manhasset.
When I was a kid growing up in Roslyn my friends and I used to walk there. It was called the Miracle Mile back then and we'd go to Woolworth's .I still have the silly pics from the Photo Booth!
Boy has it changed!

The installations are there until Sunday and worth a visit!

The honeybees here have been very busy! 60 lbs were collected ! There are 45 jars left. Text me at 516 982-2303 if you're interested in a jar. When they're gone, they're gone ...until next year. We are leaving plenty for them to get through the winter :)
I will not be putting them out on the cart this year so you just let me know when you want to pick up. $20 jar

I love when brides from past weddings reach out to me for special requests. Kelsey asked if I could make a special 'class' for her Mom as a retirement present. So we had a special class/tour here. Here is Mom learning how to make a spiral bouquet ! she did a great job :)
