We are so proud that is big enough to hold 2 wonderful festivals on the same day. June 1, 2024 is going to rock!

We want YOU to join us as a planning committee member for our 2024 Schenectady Pride celebration on June 1st! No experience necessary, all are welcome.

Schenectady Pride is a volunteer-run event- we are not a formal organization- so we rely on the dedication of committee members each year to bring the event to fruition each year! If you or someone you know are interested in being part of the planning committee, email [email protected] by Jan 5th. Committee meetings will be held monthly/bimonthly both in-person and virtually and committee members should expect to volunteer 2-5 hours of their time each month leading up to the event. Many hands make light work and many brains means new ideas, connections and growth!

We can’t wait to meet you all!

Have you heard about the pre-parade activities from 3-5pm on the Jay Street Marketplace on Nov. 18?
Did you know the theme of the parade is New York State of Mind?
When we think about New York we think about trains!
Whether it's the Polar Express or that the American Locomotive Company built trains in for years, we've got a one-track mind.
But we need YOUR help to write the perfect poem based on this Claude Monet painting.
So sharpen those pencils and start the holiday season in the right State of Mind this Saturday!

It's not OVER until you go through Vincent Giordano photos from the event...
So much fun reliving the fun, the crowds, the puppets, the drums, the gemstones, the straw and hay...
Oh just eveything from the Fall Spooktacular.
We're filled with pride to have helped sponsor the event.

This weekend will be TOAD-ALLY awesome in Schenectady!

At 10 a.m. Saturday (September 30) -- the ElectriCity Arts and Entertainment District presents "Love Is All There Is" designed by Frances Giordano and painted over many many weekends this summer on the South Ferry street wall of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation. This is your chance to get a picture with the artist and ask any RIBBETING questions you might have about murals.

THEN... from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday October 1 Erin Eckler at the Schenectady Greenmarket will work with folks of all ages to draw designs and poses of frogs and/or toads to be considered for sculpture pieces. The Art in Bloom tent across from Schenectady City Hall is the jumping off place for that project.

HOP to it and we hope to see you there!

Our Story

Always the first Saturday in June from noon to 4, our outdoor arts festival has grown along with the kids who attend, some of whom now are parents bringing their own children. We seek to offer high-quality experiences in arts programming and family-friendly performances. Thanks to a long list of sponsors, from the Schenectady County legislature and MVP Health Care to small businesses and individuals, who believe investing in the arts helps communities with strong economic growth and an enhanced quality of life, all programming is free.
