Sometimes, the most beautiful part of the day happens before the ceremony even starts ✨
One of my favorite aspects from Tiffany and Jimmy’s wedding wasn’t about the perfect tablescape or floral arrangements, but a quiet, intimate moment that really stuck with me.
Tiffany has been a friend of mine long before Ivory + Opal existed. She’s an incredibly talented wedding planner herself, so when she trusted me to help coordinate and execute her own wedding day, I was beyond honored. As a fellow planner, I know how hard it is to trust someone else to bring your vision to life with the same care and attention to detail you would give it.
While we spent weeks discussing every little detail, one element stood out to me. Tiffany and Jimmy decided to skip the traditional wedding party and get ready together. This wasn’t something we planned in-depth, but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful parts of their day.
There was something so pure about watching Tiffany and Jimmy experience their wedding day together — not just as a couple, but as two people who truly get to be in the moment, taking it all in. Looking back at the moments of them tearing up when they saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire, or Tiffany carefully tying Jimmy’s tie and Jimmy adjusting her wedding gown, it proves that this was the actual highlight of the day. It was the definition of love — raw, genuine, and real.
As planners, we see couples often get caught up in obsessing over the details to impress guests or trying their absolute hardest to get the perfect shot with their photographers. But the magic of the day really lies in moments like this. It’s about you and the person you love.
Being a part of this intimate gathering, where the focus was on the love between Tiffany and Jimmy, was a reminder of why I started Ivory + Opal — to help couples have meaningful, unforgettable experiences, and to forge genuine, lasting friendships along the way.
This moment will always be one of my favorites, and I’m so thankful to have been there to witness their beautiful day.
