I cannot Thank everyone for all their support today. The kind words and encouragement are priceless. I have enjoyed doing Apple Scrapple for the last 20 something years, but this is my last. They say you know when it is time to quit and there were many signs this year. I am thankful for all my co-crafters and the friendships we have developed. See you at Christmas in Bridgeville. 🎄

I just want to Thank Everyone who came out to the senior center on Saturday for the craft show. It was a great day. I feel so blessed to be able to share my love of flowers and needlework with others, maybe just to brighten their day a little. I know it definitely makes mine better. My next show is Christmas in Bridgeville, Saturday December 4th, 9am until 3pm. Hope to see you there.

Please join CHEER for the Fall Holiday Craft Show on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the CHEER Community Center on Sandhill Road in Georgetown from 10 am - 2 pm. This little hobby started many years ago. I always loved flowers and crafts. I used to watch my grandmother crochet and try to copy her, except I was left handed. Finally we figured out how to copy, just it was backwards to her, and we had many good laughs and times. After my grandmother passed I wanted to keep flowers on her grave, but it was so expensive that I could not do what I desired. I started doing more crafts and selling them to make money. My father always had a green thumb. I was lucky to have inherited that trait. I planted many different types of plants that produced beautiful flowers. I started to make arrangements that other people enjoyed. It was very satisfying. When my father passed, I decided to start making arrangements for the cemetery. Different friends saw the saddles and arrangements, requests started coming in and that is how Flowers for Joy got started. I love to see the happiness that a flower arrangement can provide when families are grieving. Placing something beautiful as a tribute to a lost love one can help the grieving process.
