1-2:00 p.m. - DJ Uptown Boss
DJ Uptown Boss is a seasoned DJ with over 20 years of experience, specializing in Top 40 and Caribbean music. He has electrified audiences in Alaska, the Caribbean, and Seattle with his unique blend of popular hits and vibrant Caribbean rhythms. In addition to DJing, he is a skilled music producer and is actively involved in social innovation projects, using the power of music to inspire change and foster community engagement.

2- 2:45 p.m. – F**A – Roda de Capoeira
F**A—Fundação Internacional De Capoeira Angola has been promoting Capoeira Angola in Seattle, WA, since 1997. Working with schools to teach Capoeira music, movements, history, and philosophy, F**A offers classes at the University of Washington and participates in community festivals. Our home is at the Union Cultural Center, a non-profit organization focused on building an inclusive community through cultural arts.

4:15 – 4:45 p.m. – Bahia in Motion.
Bahia In Motion is an award-winning Brazilian arts organization in Seattle, WA. Bahia in Motion offers a diverse range of activities, including classes, events, performances, workshops, and cultural immersion tours to Salvador, Brazil. The organization's focus on Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage and collaborations with renowned dance institutions has earned them community recognition, including awards for their dance studio and business in Fremont.

Established in 2016, Kwetu Band is dedicated to reshaping African music by fusing it with various genres, creating a distinct and outstanding sound. Renowned for their captivating shows and irresistible rhythms, Kwetu Band never fails to enthrall audiences wherever they perform. With their unwavering commitment to their art and a deep passion for music, Kwetu Band is set to leave a lasting impression on the music industry.

The Seattle Qabila Project will present dances from the Arab world and include time for audience participation in open dance time and dance tutorials.

Dance brings people together, united in humanity. The Qabila Foundation is dedicated to sharing the joy and diversity of Arabic folk dance rooted on the strong belief that art can build bridges of understanding across cultures, ages, genders, ideologies, and backgrounds and allows us all to belong. The Seattle Qabila Project, founded in 2020 by original Qabila Company member Stefanie Fatooh, is dedicated to sharing the joy of Arabic folkdance through performances, workshops, and classes. They’ve notably collaborated with the Seattle-based band House of Tarab for live music and dance.

King County Executive Dow Constantine announced this week $24.67 million in funding to local organizations around King County to create affordable housing opportunities for hundreds of residents. The eight projects – including in SeaTac In partnership with Sound Transit and Mercy Housing Northwest, Amazon is helping to create affordable apartments located next to the Angle Lake Station in SeaTac. We celebrated this wonderful news at The Roadhouse. The event was a great success!!!
