I need a caregiver that is experienced with people that are paralyzed. my father was being mistreated at the skilled nursing facility and the doctors at the hospital recommended that we bring him home, he arrived yesterday and I have realized this is going to be about 1000 times more work than they made it out to be and I have no idea what I’m doing. We will have at least 40 hours of caregiving available through CDWA, also I have a bedroom available that I would be willing to trade rent for full time caregiving help, with no hours or very little. We live at the southernmost tip of the W. Seattle White Center area. If anyone can help in any way or nose of resources that the hospital doesn’t tell you about, please reach out to me

Hey guys if you know anyone looking for an affordable room for rent and they are trustworthy , I will have one available at the beginning of August, 900 a month +1/4 of the utilities comes with a offstreet paved uncovered parking space, 1000 gig up and down fiber Internet, washer and dryer in their own room by the kitchen separate from the bedrooms (keeps it quiet for people sleeping when someone wants to do laundry) We have a very large large 2 level backyard overlooking a golf course. I would be willing to trade caregiving for my father from someone qualified at the rate that cdwa pays for hours to help subsidize the price of rent and get it down to a more affordable rate or even just enough hours to pay rent completely at the current minimum wage so somebody in college or a working professional with some extra time could really get a good deal. Our house has three other rooms besides the one for rent that all have tenants. There are currently five people living here, including my father, who is in the main living room area in a hospital bed in front of the TV. we can talk about pets, but we already have a lot. I would pursue to help out a student/gradstudent with this opportunity. Or a person on disability that still has some ability to do things that would help me around the house and the yard and with my dad.
