Valentine’s Day is so fun because it. An be so many things! Of course, it’s about love… but it’s also about friends, boxes of conversation hearts, decorating cereal boxes for school Valentine exchanges, buying the perfect Valentine and signing your name 100x, it’s chocolate and roses and just pure sweetness!

We hope your Christmas was magical. If you’re like me you may just be sitting in front of the fire, under the glow of the Christmas tree that has lit up your home and season.
I love driving through the neighborhood seeing everyone’s tree proudly displayed in the windows. Some trees blink, some are filled with colorful lights, some are elegant, some are playful. Every tree has character and brings a special added magical element to Christmas.
Our tree has as many lights as it can hold. I love the light it provides to our whole house. Our tree is decorated with memories from times past that bring us right back to a special moment. We actually have a homemade ornament my husband made in 2nd grade. Made of colored paper and tinsel it is priceless.
My grandparents gave my sisters and I an ornament every year and they always dated it too so this tree is actually a time capsule. I love pulling those ornaments out and hanging them on the tree. Not only do they bring my grandparents back to life for a time but I just love that I see the dates they placed in the ornaments and can easily recognize my grandfathers handwriting. More priceless objects.
Today as I sit and take in the tree and the memories it holds I know all too soon those treasures will be tucked back in a box awaiting for another year to fill our home, mind and tree with memories.
So here’s to you - our special tree, that has blessed us and carried our priceless treasures for another season.
In honor of all of the wonderful trees and I have taken our favorite pizza dough recipe and have made a fun and delicious tree pizza. Make one today!
Norris and I are at it again. This time with Frederick and Mrs. FrogLegs (aka cookies & cream) we whip us an easy and always fun pizza dough.
As you can see from our pizzas that Norris went with a more traditional version where as I went with something more whimsical and creative… imagine that!
We simply love making pizza dough Not only does it involve science, mixing and kneading (a few of our favorite things) but we always make something creative and delicious.

Ingredients:
▢ 1 ½ cups water warm (not hot, warm to the touch), tap water is best here
▢ 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
▢ 2 ½ teaspoon active dry yeast
▢ 4 – 4 ¼ cups all purpose flour or replace with Gluten-Free AP Flour
▢ 1 teaspoon kosher salt
▢ ⅓ cup olive oil extra virgin
Instructions
1. Use a small non-reactive bowl*, add warm water, yeast, and sugar. Whisk and let it sit, about 8-10 minutes A ye**ty froth will grow on top, this is called proofing your yeast – if it doesn’t double or get frothy, your yeast is dead and the recipe won’t rise.
1 ½ cups water, 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, 2 ½ teaspoon active dry yeast
2. In a stand mixer or large bowl, add the yeast mixture, flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix everything for 5 minutes until it combines. The soft, stretchy dough will pull away from the sides of the bowl when it’s ready. Split the dough in equal halves. Your dough is ready to go!
4 – 4 ¼ cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ⅓ cup olive oil
3. You can also store the dough with a little olive oil in a bowl in the fridge or freezer, see instructions for storage below. Roll out your dough to the desired thickness. Smother it with your favorite toppings. And pop it in the hot oven!

Turkey 🦃 Day is fast approaching and if you’re anything like me you’re excited and also in disbelief.
At home we are gearing up for children’s arrival back to the nests. We keep telling our dogs that life’s going to get pretty good for a while. Needless to say the arrival of the babes has my heart a flutter.
At FrogLegs we are doing what we do best- making the season bright with activity, good food and sweet treats.
Speaking of sweet treats our cake pops and cookies take the cake (metaphorically speaking). They are oh so charming and oh so delicious.
We can’t wait to welcome you all into our shoppe and our kitchens!
