We are giving away tickets again. This time the winner will get 4 tickets plus a coveted parking pass (you cannot buy a parking pass). The parking pass lets you go in a separate gate and park right behind the bleachers (regular parking is always free with paid admission). We would like to welcome back fan favorite Mike Wentworth to this years rodeo.

Mike Wentworth --- Rodeo Clown Entertainer
Welcome to the world of rodeo clown entertainer Mike Wentworth. Formerly from Louisville, Kentucky, Mike now makes his home in Ridge Spring, South Carolina.
Mike started his rodeo career at ayoung age of fifteen ni a practice pen at a friend's house riding bulls. It was a short career riding bulls after he began to clown on the side where he learned that he enjoyed entertaining more than he did competing.
That's where the long journey started for the kid that was still ni high school. This would soon be a big change in his life.
There was never a thought ni anyone's mind that Mike would choose a life time profession of telling jokes and entertaining thousands of people throughout the United States. With the help and support of close friends in the business and family members the Kentucky kid began ot wear the baggy pants, grease paint (make-up), telling jokes and performing his hilarious clown acts. The more he performed in front of the large crowds the more people began to notice the natural talent he had
Mike now travels the country ni his Dodge truck pulling a trailer which serves as a place to live on the road and transportation for his clown props. The career keeps him on the road nearly ten months out of the year. When he is at home he enjoys spending time with his family and riding horses, something that has always been in his family.
Some of Mikes comedy routines consist of his flipping Race Car, the Pouched Egg, the Ricochet Shooter, exciting exploding acts, and many others that will keep you in stitches. When it's time for the Bull Riding you never know what kind of character he might be when he pops out of his barrel. No matter what Mike does during the rodeo it is sure to be action packed, energizing, clean family entertainment that wil keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat al night long!
tI is recommended that if you get a chance to see Mike live and in person in a town near you, take the opportunity to go have fun with him. At the end of the show when it's time to say good-bye; Mike hopes you enjoyed his entertainment as much as he enjoyed entertaining you.

Hat’s off to Patterson Installations for helping the Shady Dale Rodeo acquire and erect our new bleachers. This addition will allow us to seat me people. We have only have one more section of bleachers the we need to replace. We will continue raising money, and hopefully get them replaced in the next couple years. Thanks for all your support.

It is with great pride that the 2024 Shady Dale Rodeo welcomes Russie Skinner. A longtime resident of Shady Dale, she is a pillar of our small town. Working countless hours on the Shady Dale Rodeo ticket line and as a volunteer for the annual FFA Tractor Pull. Russie is an accomplished singer who attends Providence Baptist Church. She blesses them regularly with her incredible contralto voice. A mom, she and her husband, Christopher, have a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Jacob and locally operate East Georgia Plumbing, LLC. Please give Russie a hats-off round of applause as she sings our national anthem.

Tickets will be sold ONLY at the gate this year. If anyone tries to sell you tickets before the rodeo, it is a scam. We want to protect everyone from falling victim to this so if you do see anyone selling tickets to our rodeo please report it and let us know. We are doing all we can to put a stop to these scammers, therefore tickets will not be sold online. There will be plenty tickets available at the gate. Last night we had some issues with space for parking. Please be aware that there is a second entrance to get into the rodeo where you can purchase tickets and for more parking. To save from waiting in a long line, you can also come in at 651 Railroad Street. We encourage you to take advantage of the this entrance as well.

Billy F. Johnson, is the 2023 Grand Marshal of the Shady Dale Rodeo - American Legion Parade. Born in Greenwood, Mississippi in 1955, Billy honorably served in the United States Navy for 25-plus years, retiring in 2003 with an exceptional record. His military career included completing “A” school at Port Hueneme CA, in February 1975 and deployment for thirteen tours of duty to various assignments throughout the world. He climbed the ranks, becoming a Command Master Chief Petty Officer, which is a Senior Enlisted Advisor. Less than one percent of the Navy's personnel make it to the rank of Master Chief and those who do are among the best and the brightest in their respective specialties. Completing years of rigorous training, He earned a commission in The Navy Construction Battalion - better known as the Seabees. The engineering, design, and construction arm of the Navy and one of the most respected groups amongst sailors and marines for their vital contributions to those fighting to protect the freedoms we enjoy.
Billy married the love of his life, Deborah Minyard in 1975 and they were blessed with three beautiful children, a daughter, Dakota, and two sons, Waymon and William. They moved to Jasper County in 2003 to live on the land they purchased on Barnes Mountain Rd, where they built their home, themselves, board by board. Over the next eighteen years, Billy continued his service to his community, stepping up wherever needed. Serving as a deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church and Post commander of Monticello’s American Legion Post 110 in 2016, instituting the Legion’s haunted house to gain funding for the food bank. In 2020 he took over as project manager for the new Veterans Memorial which is being funded by private donations. Billy is committed to serving his community; even in 2021, when his home burned to the ground just weeks before Christmas, and losing his wife in January 2022. Billy continues to fulfill his commitments to his church, the legion, and to the citizens of Jasper County. A man that never lets an idle hour pass without working on something to please his God, defend his country, or make life better for his family, or fellow veteran.

We welcome Brian Patton ,The Misfit Cowboy. He is a specialty act entertainer from Epps,LA. Brian travels the country on average 35 weekends during the year with his trick trained Brahmans and Texas Longhorns. His show is a mixture of animal training talent along with cowboy skill and versatility. Everything from jumping a 1700 pound bull through a ring of fire, to lifting him through the roof of his trailer while standing up in the saddle. Big props and unexpected thrills is the theme of this show, guaranteed to impress the entire family no matter your age.

Your Rodeo Hype Man and Entertainer, C**t Hartt, better known as “C**t .45” from Patterson, GA is a US Veteran and full-time Cowboy. He travels the country with his family to Rodeos. His wife Taylor, their 2 daughters, Gracelyn Rose and Hayzie Jo, his biggest supporters and the reason he is where he is today in his Professional Career as a Rodeo Entertainer. C**t has been Nominated as one of the IPRA Top 5 Rodeo Clowns on 4 different occasions and is still climbing his way to the Top.
