What fun we have been having here at Three Freckled !!!! Every other Friday for lunch we do make your own pizza and they had a BLAST ! And the art and sewing classes have been big hits w everyone ! Remi the Australian Shepard has played and played and played . Anytime she’s in the car she goes from side to side whining w excitement . Today … well she was passed out totally exhausted after a busy week playing w all of her little friends . You can sign up for classes here !

Three Freckled Farmgirls opened up on this GOOD FRIDAY for the Hale County 4H group . I had 12 beginner ( most had never sewn) students . They learned how to put in a zipper , applique and hand sew . They turned a candy bag into an awesome lined zipper bag . And they made a darling little bunny . This was a great group of young ladies . They were kind , well mannered , and lotsa fun !

Lotsa creative ,fun things happening at Three Freckled Farmgirls . We have been learning counted cross stitch , string art , mod podge , how to Buffalo check paint and sewing all sorts of cute things . This week they have learned all about sergers . If you sew you know about threading sergers . It’s certainly not for the faint of heart . The kids learned all about the functions and uses of sergers . They were amazed that every single one of them was wearing clothing that was sewn w a serger . We made recycled tshirt scarves using sergers . Recycling , repurposing anything plus learning new sewing techniques is a win win . Sorry parents if your child now wants a serger ! lol ! if you want to sign your child up for sewing and or art let me know and I’ll find a spot for them . I teach after school and homeschool students ages prek and up for art and ages 6 and up for sewing ( they have to be able to reach the foot pedal ) 806-790-4223

It’s been a turkey kind of week at Three Freckled Farmgirls . They all did a wonderful job sewing these turkeys . They learned how to gather the fabric , sew and turn the turkeys and not leave an opening in the seam , they hand sewed buttons for eyes and heat bonded the beak . The stamping the tags was a giant hit w the kids ! We added easels to the back . They can be hung on the wall or they will sit like a picture frame . Sewing is fun ! Teaching sewing is more fun ! I have openings if you or your child are interested in signing up !

Today was a fun day ! I got to have a helper and she was a great helper ! We did some cleaning , class prep , some art and getting our float ready for the parade . All Three Freckled Farmgirl students are invited and encouraged to ride on our float . The parade is this Saturday October 14 th . BE AT THE HIGHSCHOOL PARKING LOT BY THE TENNIS COURTS AT 1030. I have TFFG shirts for them to slip over their clothes during the parade . Please bring a bag or two of candy to throw . The kids have all made bags to put their candy in . Parade ends back at the high school parking lot . I will be there w your child immediately after the parade .
My little helper learned how to drive the tractor and helped me get the float ready ! Thankyou Sawyer ! You are the best !

Hey SHALLOWATER ISD peeps ! Friday October 13 th, is an early out at 1 pm and Monday October 16 th is a staff development day ,so there is no school . Three Freckled Farmgirls offers early out and Staff development art , craft and game days . On early out days I pick your child up from their teachers and take them to TFFG for a fun afternoon . Pick up time is 6 pm . Cost is $35
On staff development days, you can bring your child as early as 730 am and pick up is at 6 . Cost is $50. Send their lunch and put them in play clothes & shoes . I provide snacks . On both days we have so much fun , we play games , do art and crafts make a mess and learn some really cool things . Let me know if you want to sign your kids up . My sewing kids are so freakin AMAZING !!! We are making these adorable scarecrow wall/ door hangers . Yes they would have been fine without the cording .. that tiny piece that goes all around the project . It’s the frame to me ! Even tho it could have been left out ,I decided to challenge these little humans , and boy oh boy they rose to the challenge . They covered 1/4 inch cotton cording w 1 3/4 inch fabric . The cording is sandwiched in there and it leaves VERY LITTLE space to sew . THIS IS AN ADVANCED SKILL! Kids as young as SIX , mastered it ! To say I’m proud of them is an understatement . Most of these kids only started sewing 6 weeks ago …. Aka they have had 6 sewing lessons ! They are crazy smart and super excited about their projects . So if you know one of them be sure to give them a high five !

One of my favorite things about teaching arts and crafts is teaching the kids that you don’t have to buy expensive things to make your crafts . Upcycling is something I love ! So if your child starts saving “ trash “ you can blame me ! I love sparking the creative/ imaginative parts of their brains . Think outside the box and turn trash into treasure ! And thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone saving their trash/ treasures for me . Still need coffee creamer containers , laundry pod /detergent containers, etc etc .

Monday September 25 th is a staff development day at SHALLOWATER ISD , so there is no school . Three Freckled Farmgirls is offering an all day 730 am-6 pm art and game day . All kids from pre K and up are welcome to come . Please feed them breakfast before they come and send them a lunch and water bottle . I will provide snacks . Cost is $50 per child for all day fun . I have childrens art classes everyday after school starting at pre K age and children’s sewing after school Tuesdays Wednesdays or Thursdays starting at age 6 . We are having a great time this week at Three Freckled Farmgirls . The art class students are making scarecrows . I have been busy cutting out and the kids have been busy building ,painting and decorating their scarecrow porch leaners. This has been a fun project . The art students are also sewing this week and the sewing students are doing some art . We are all sewing white cotton tote bags then we went to the art room to tie dye them !! Yes I am CRAZY ! Next week after their tie dye is dry they get to paint a fall design on their bags . We will use the bags to hold our candy that we will be throwing at the Hatvest Festival Parade October 14th . All of my art and sewing students are welcome to participate !!! I love my job !

Three Freckled Farmgirls is located less than a mile north of SHS . We opened a year ago . TFFG is a place to explore your creativity . We have children’s art everyday after school from ages preK and up . It’s $25 a class . We have children’s sewing after school Tuesday Wednesdays and Thursdays and it’s $30 a class . Everything is provided for all classes . Your child is picked up at school . Snacks and drinks are included . Pick up is at 6 pm .
Adult sewing is Wednesday mornings 9-12.
I also have classes for our homeschool friends . art class is Tuesdays 10-12 $30 and sewing is Wednesday’s 1-3 $30. This coming week in homeschool classes we are making macrame wall hanger in art and sewing pumpkins in sewing . Please join us for these fun, informative classes . We have a BLAST !!!!
