Recently, Team JDC had the opportunity to attend Sam Lippman's Audience Acquisition Roundtable in Washington, D.C. Here are our key takeaways from the experience:

1. Show organizers should prioritize transparency and share honest data with
exhibitors and sponsors before, during, and after events.
2. Beleisure remains a selling point, and collaboration with local organizations like
CVBs and chambers of commerce should be promoted.
3. Focus on creating loyalty and satisfaction is vital, as attendee churn is a concern.
4. Generational differences in marketing matter, and video is underutilized.
5. Peer-to-peer marketing is on the rise, with a low tolerance for friction in the
registration process.
6. Data-driven decision-making is powerful. If you utilize ChatGPT, consider investing
in the Enterprise level for data security and privacy.

Attendees also mentioned the importance of promoting speaker social media engagement and exploring tools like Feathr, Never Bounce, and influencer marketing to enhance audience acquisition strategies.
