With the new year, it's time for an introduction!

I am Diana Skenderovic, lead designer and owner of Black Calla Events. I have always loved flowers. As a little girl, I enjoyed every bloom in my mother’s garden. I fulfilled my lifelong dream when I became a part of one of the leading floral design companies in the Washington, D.C. area. As the Director for Special Events and Weddings, for 12 years I was part of the design team and truly loved my job. I have always enjoyed meeting new clients, designing and organizing, and finally bringing clients’ vision to reality.

After taking some time off to raise and enjoy my two beautiful boys, I decided to launch my own business. At Black Calla Events, I continue to do what I love most. I put my heart and soul into each event and am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with each client.

I continue to work closely with my clients on all design features, creating exquisite floral arrangements for every event. I am committed to providing you with an exceptional experience. It is all about the details! Looking forward to another great year in 2025!

Emily & Mitchell's wedding ceremony didn't go as planned. We built everything in Tudor place but had to move the flowers and go with plan B at the last minute because of the heavy rain. We couldn't use chuppah since it was soaking wet. It wasn't what they originally wanted, but it was a beautiful indoor wedding ceremony after all :)
