A Sioux Falls non-profit is turning back into a business, and it is throwing a going-away party to mark the occasion.

To everyone who came out and said goodbye to SuFu Creative... Thank You. Although it is transforming into ReCreate by Zenith, letting go of the original hurts.
SuFu Creative started in August 2022. Maggie May , Jordan Morley and I put our artsy souls together and had an art/plant show. That is all it was supposed to be. Over time, I wanted it to become more. I reached out to a few friends and May 2024 we started SuFu as a nonprofit. It was located in Nordic Hall. Our space offered a space to create, without the barriers of finance. We gave away art supplies and held workshops for local creators. During that time we saw many people find community. I met so many amazing and I watched many friendships form.
There were many factors that cause the nonprofit side to close. It is a decision we did not make lightly. We still want to carry on the mission for SuFu. Cheap or no cost art supplies and classes for people in need. So, Zenith Art Studios picked up that purpose. Nothing changes for the public.
Goodbyes are hard. The name and mission of SuFu Creative will always be dear to my heart. Thank you to everyone who shared that with me.

I don't know if you've had goodies from The Jam Man, but you should. He will be at SuFu Creative's Going Away Party Saturday from 10-4pm. Take his jams and pair them with Lynn's Sourdough, who will be next to him and you're set! Grab some art while you're there. Make some crafts, meet some friends, do all the things. See you Saturday!
