A little history of our beloved Waltz Building - This historic structure was built in 1938 on the Snohomish High School campus to serve as a music building — but that’s not how the Waltz Building got its name. In 1983, the Historical Society submitted the winning bid of $118 (our Museum address number) to purchase the surplus music building. Robert and Mary Waltz donated the funds to move the former classroom to its present location on Avenue B. The Waltz Building is now a community rental hall located at 116 Avenue B, next door to the Blackman House Museum.
