Suits-Us Farm

Welcome to Suits-Us Farm. In 1939 Newell York and his wife Pearl moved their family on to this 148 acre farm. His son in law was Bill Thurman. Bill and Christine had a son George and they resided in a farm where the lake came in and took it so they moved in with Newell and Pearl. George married Betty Tarter in 1959 and in 1966 Betty’s dad, Clifford Tarter and George built the barn to house to***co. It’s second life began with the decline of the to***co industry...In 1996 the barn was turned into boat storage and the dairy cattle were sold. Jeff Thurman, Georges son took the farm over and converted it into a Beef Cattle and grain Operation Until now..... The original story of a loving parent is being continued with Scott and JoEllen Whitaker... Betty and George’s daughter and son in law” they have turned the grand old barn into a stunning Wedding Venue for their son and daughter in law. Clifford always new it would be more than just a “Barn... his daughter Betty had vivid visions of what it could be. The story of love, deep graceful roots and family unity is displayed by every careful detail.
