Blues Benefit for the Easton Brothers (4-28-2013)
The Easton Brothers, Mark and Barry, lost their "Rough Cut" studio in a devastating fire, last month, together with an estimated $200,000's-worth of equipment and memorabilia.
The insurance only covers the rebuilding: the equipment and memorabilia are gone forever.
Joyce Davis and other friends organized a "Blues Benefit" concert to help raise funds for replacement equipment.
Here's a FUZZY Snippet of the end-of-gig jam session. (Duration: 4 minutes.)
The finished programme, featuring several local bands and guest artistes, will be shown on various Community Access programmes throughout the Valley.
A tribute to local veteran, Donald E. Harris
It was a privilege and a pleasure to record the funeral ceremony for the family of a local WWII veteran, Donald Harris, who died last week just a few days short of his 90th birthday.
"Amazing Grace" was requested for the video by the family: not only was the tune played at the funeral service, it was played at the deceased's wedding ceremony, 68 years ago.
R.I.P., Technician Harris.
