Brett Farkas is a multi-genre solo artist, bandleader and session musician who is based in Los Angeles. Growing up outside Detroit, Michigan, Brett became steeped in the Motor Cityâs revered musical lineage of Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Rock âNâ Roll, and Punk. There, he learned alongside the local masters and honed his craft by playing throughout the midwest. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2003, he has carved a distinct reputation of being a vigorous performer and a sharp instrumentalist, having performed around the world at such prestigious festivals and venues as, Montreux Jazz, Lollapalooza, Coachella, North Sea Jazz, Austin CIty Limits, Ravinia, Fuji Rock, Paradiso, Outside Lands, Antibes Jazz, Sasquatch, CMJ, SXSW, Byron Bay East Coast Blues, and the Vienna Opera House.
