A moment does not have to be crisp to be clear.

I hope the trend of blurry photos isn't just a phase.
I’ve been obsessed with this style since high school when I did a photography project on motion blur.
What struck me most was how a single image could hold more than one moment.�
The second photo in this post was my first blurry wedding photo I took completely by mistake!
BUT I fell in love with how storytelling it felt and from then I couldn’t stop!
Like... a smile and a frown in the same frame.
It’s almost like you’re looking at a photo of a video,
a memory that doesn’t sit still.
There’s this unpolished, honest feeling in the blur.
It’s the opposite of posed. It says: I was there. This happened.
Even if it’s out of focus because real life isn’t paused, it’s moving, it’s fleeting
And that’s what makes it powerful.
In a world obsessed with hyper-perfection... blurry photos feel human.
It means felt.
It means a hand moved mid-laugh.
It means the camera didn’t interrupt the moment, it was part of it.
That’s why I think this trend isn’t going anywhere.
It’s nostalgic, emotional, and kinda rebellious in the best way.

Oh how I love courthouse elopements!! Griffin and Andrea said forever at the courthouse in downtown Fayetteville. With the incoming weather report of snow we rented out The Hub event space for some chic bridal and family portraits!

Enchanting Castle Farms Wedding in Northern Michigan ✨🏰

Kelseah + Nathan had their gorgeous wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, MI, which provided the perfect backdrop, from a heartfelt courtyard ceremony to a lively reception in the East Garden Room and Queen’s Courtyard. The bride got ready in the elegant bridal suite, where she could watch a special first look between the groom and their daughter. As the sun set, we slipped away for golden-hour portraits, capturing romantic moments against the castle’s breathtaking stone architecture.
