Thank you NAWBO! What an honor to be recognized as a NAWBO Greater Detroit Top 10 Women Business Owner. My career has been mostly successful due to women who mentored me and helped me get started. I want to acknowledge a few women who were instrumental in helping me start my business. My dear friends Ormandy Singleton and Doris Hamilton convinced me to start my business. This led to Donna Murray Charles, who asked me to photograph an event at her home that Beverly Bantom was hosting for her "Breaking the Glass Ceiling" in 2008. From that event I met Rhonda Walker, one of my longest clients, who I have been photographing for her Rhonda Walker Foundation events for the last 15 years. A huge "Thank You" to Ms. Vivian Pickard, who hired me for the General Motors Foundation events and introduced me to several non-profits of which she is a board member and is still supporting my company with new referrals to date. Also, many "Thanks" to Mrs. Tonya Allen Hill, who is one of my biggest supporters and an outstanding networking connector for all women business owners. The list of women who has helped make my company be successful is much too long to name everyone. Most importantly, I am thankful to organizations like NAWBO that give us a platform to support us, venue to meet a diverse group of ladies, and an opportunity to be recognized and honored.

Hello Everyone,

The last year certainly presented us with many challenges, because of Covid. However, we used this time and opportunity to reflect, reorganize, evolve, and focus on rebranding Stills by Stinson Photography. Our goal is to better communicate our expertise, values, and vision to better serve our clients.

Part of this rebranding includes a new business name. We are excited to present and effective immediately, our business name will change as follows:

At the 2021 MVAAFF, on Saturday evening, August 14th, Morris Chestnut presented a short clip "OUR KIND OF PEOPLE". Set in Oak Bluffs, "Our Kind of People" follows a strong-willed, single mom as she sets out to make an impact with her revolutionary haircare line that highlights the innate, natural beauty of black women. The show is a soapy, thrilling exploration of race and class in America and an unapologetic celebration of black resilience and achievements.
