Located just 50 miles north of Birmingham, J&D Farms is a privately owned 40 acre farm that sits conveniently on the outskirts of Etowah County, and just 15 minutes from Historic Downtown Gadsden. The barn is approached by a gently winding drive, and nestled among a small fruit orchard and organic vegetable garden. J&D farms is easily one of the most extraordinary and romantic locations for a wedding in the Southeast, but because this is a private residence, we only book a limited number of weddings each year.

With age I’ve realized that sunset garden walks truly nourish the soul. During gardening season my dad would spend most every evening enjoying sunset in the garden. Often staying there until all light of day was completed exhausted. It’s something he unknowingly passed on to me, and I’m eternally thankful for it.

Today is auction day! If you would like to have a chance to own this one of a kind dog house built by @janddfarms and @dannys_projects, you can do so by attending this evening’s “Dog Ball” at Huntsville’s Von Braun Center at 7pm! Follow @dannys_projects To check out construction photos & videos of this unique build! This super fancy dog house is constructed of reclaimed pallets, 4” pine timbers, cedar shakes and 1/4” plexiglass walls. It also features recycled oak hardwood flooring, screen ventilation panels and even has custom LED lighting inside and out! It’s sure to suit even the most pampered pooch! Estimated value is over $3000!!! The Dog Ball is the largest annual fundraiser for the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, and is an exciting and enjoyable event that benefits the Humane Society’s animal shelter by helping to defray expenses incurred while providing care to animals in need.
