I am a licensed and insured professional photographer. :D POLICIES - - - Seems like the further I get into this business the more I learn, but I guess what better way other then live and learn. Here I am with New and improved POLICIES. I hate having them. I wish there was no need, but I need them to protect myself from whatever situation that could arise. PAYMENT - All shoots will be paid in full at booking unless you’re booking an event. All events are required to put down 1/2 to hold date. I require that all EVENTS (Bo***ir, Birthday Parties, Reunions, Parties, Holiday Events, Dinners, Weddings,) be PAID OFF 1 month before the event date! If you are writing a check or money order please make it payable to Darlene Stewart NOT Darlene Stewart Photography. If you pay me personal check and it for any reason doesn't go through, you will be responsible for ALL costs that I am out. The price of your package, and all of the fees from the bank. Plus a return check fee of $40 for my time. DEPOSIT - BOOKING FEE (ALL) Deposits/Booking Fee are NON-REFUNADABLE General Shoots - (Family, Pin Up, Glam, Fashion, Senior, Portrait) - If you have paid a deposit and for any reason need to reschedule let me know ONE WEEK before your session to allow me ample time to have a chance at re-booking and receive your deposit back or reschedule your session. If you notify me late you will not get your deposit in return. Event Shoots - (Bo***ir, Birthday Parties, Reunions, Parties, Holiday Events, Dinners) - These deposits are usually half the total cost of the full total of the session. Deposits for these shoots are NOT refundable under any condition. Wedding Shoots - Weddings are both Contract and Deposit based. The deposit for weddings is 50% the package price and due at signing of contract. If there is travel/location change fees those will be figured into the balance. The balance is due NO LATER than 1 month before the wedding. If for any reason your wedding does not take place you forfeit your deposit/travel/multilocation fee and will have to pay a cancellation fee of 100$ for my time and efforts. TRAVLE FEE - Seeing gas prices are sky rocketing out of control, I unfortunately need a travel fee for any shoot outside of Pierce County, WA. Gas fee depends highly on where I am needed to shoot. I start charging a travel fee that has me going 25 plus miles out one way. And we will discuss that at the time of booking. As well as any long distance fees. FREE SHOOTS - I host a few free shoots a year. I will no longer be sending out discs/flash drives for promotional events. I coordinate these shoots to keep me busy, I will post up to 8 of my favorites, In order for you to get it free you will have to download the photo’s from my page. If you want copies of all the photo’s/edits it will be available for purchase. Price of the shoot will be available to your knowledge before the shoot. I also don't reschedule free sessions. Book and cancel then you forfeit your session. CONTESTS/PROMOTIONAL GIVEAWAYS/AUCTIONS/BENEFITS - If you have won a giveaway/contest etc. you must use your prize within 6 months of winning it. No exceptions. And contests that give you just a credit towards a shoot you cannot combine coupons with the prize and you have 3 months to use your winning credit. Also winning sessions are ONLY good for onsite locations, no events, no studio sessions and no house calls. I also don't reschedule free sessions. Book and cancel then you forfeit your session. LATE TO A SHOOT? If you are running late it will reflect on the time you have to shoot. Especially if I have a schedule to keep with an event I'm hosting. You are running on my time so it’s important to show up on time and in some cases early and ready to go! Put into consideration the distance you are traveling, traffic, parking, walking, and locating me at that location.

WEATHER

This is Washington. And after all the weather here is very unpredictable. I try my best to look at many different news outlets/apps to make the best judgement when it comes to what is best for shooting conditions. Please note, that if you do in fact choose to carry on with your session during any inclement weather I cannot stand behind and guarantee the quality of your photos. Meaning, the quality, clarity, and over all presentation of your photos. If it is raining expect possible blurry/hazy photos. You will also have the appearance of being wet (wet hair, clothes, etc) When it is wet outside you will also have to consider everything is wet, I try not putting clients in poses that compromise clothing to the point of getting further wet/dirty. So if there is something specific as far as posing your wanting please let me know ahead of time so we can coordinate how to keep you dry/clean. Also reflections from flash will be high on wet days, leaves, rocks, trees etc, it will all reflect back when I flash. Foggy days (please don’t wear white), evaporating water, makes for hazy looking photos, cold days consider your breath showing up in photos like steam. So when booking keep in mind the weather and the fact that I can not always control the outcome of photos. RETURN TIME - Depends on if your shoot was part of an event. I usually edit events in the order I take them. So definitely something to consider when booking. The time to return pictures also depends on if you wanted prints or any add ons to you package. At the most waiting time on blankets and some photo books is 3 months depending on the time of year. I hand deliver larger packages that include prints, books and what not... ALL sessions are delivered via dropbox. The only sessions that will get physical copies are weddings as there are to many photos to send online. PORTFOLIO PHOTO'S - Seeing this is my job I do need photo's for people to view to see my work. With general photos like, family sessions, seniors, wedding etc... I will post photos in my online galleries whether that be Facebook, Deviant Art, Instgram... Also I will use photos in a physical portfolio. With more intimate photos like bo***ir sessions or n**e sessions I will ask that you choose between 3-5 photo's for my use in my portfolio online and physical. It's important for people to see what I am doing. No longer mandatory. UNSATISFIED? - Please you have one week to review your photo's from the time you get them and if you have any issues with quantity/quality or if the flash drive isn't working properly, please let me know so I have a chance to correct any issues that you may have with your final product. If there is an issue with your drive, I will want to see your copy to take a look at it to see if there is indeed a problem with it. If you have any more questions or concerns. Please do let me know.
