This weekend, voters will be able to view long-form interviews from all candidates in my race for U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District. Wood TV8, WZZM13, and Fox17 provided platforms to all four candidates.

I want to win, but my campaign mission has been to educate voters and to discuss topics that are impacting people on a day-to-day basis.

We all know people from all sides of the political spectrum, so it’s important to me that we always discuss topics bridge the divide and combat misinformation.

I always try to discuss pros/cons to topics with voters in an unbiased fashion. I believe the more educated we all can be, the healthier our conversations can be surrounding politics.

Enjoy the process.

Campaigning comes with a lot of highs and lows. There are a lot of long days as I try to attend every event and meet as many people in my district as possible.
•
I enjoy the process. I enjoy the platform this race has given with me to learn from, speak to, and connect with voters.
•
This race is not about me. It’s about all of the voters that make up my district. It is about unseating a politician with the vast majority of their funding coming from outside of our district.
•
It’s about electing someone who is willing to put in the work to meet with voters, address their issues, and not skip out on debates. Those are my promises to you.

People. Over. Politics.

It’s the slogan on my signs, shirts, and website. It’s a mindset I have had throughout my campaign. It’s why I wanted to be out there facing voters, hearing their stories, and understanding their needs.

This campaign is not about me. It is about you, the voters. It is about electing a candidate who will lay out their goals, address the issues, and not give in to wealthy donors.

This mindset has created a momentum and given voters a candidate they know will listen.

Political violence is absolutely unacceptable.

Now is the time for every American who loves our country to step back from the division, renounce all violence, and unite in prayer for President Trump, his family, and anyone else that may have been impacted today.

My statement on whether President Biden should or should not step down.

It is important that we respect our Democratic process and do not disenfranchise the 625,221 voters who voted for the candidate they wanted to represent the Democratic Party.

Hillary Scholten believes a different nominee that was not nominated by voters should be the nominee. I do not believe that follows the Democratic process.

This is not an advertisement, but I will happily end my door knocking days with a Wesco gas station slurpy. It really brings back the childhood memories.

I am within 30 days of my August 6th primary and I couldn’t be happier with the outreach. It has been a great time getting to connect with people that I wouldn’t normally get to at community events, door knocking, and parades.

Three kids rejected my suckers because I tried to give them root beer flavored.

Regardless, it was a fun time getting to meet so many people in the district that are excited for another Democratic option for the first time in three elections.

We were in Ottawa Hills, Kentwood, and East Grand Rapids. Parades I had never been to before.

Hillary Scholten has chosen to skip out on debates with me, and to avoid answering for her voting record.

Therefore, I took the liberty to discuss topics with my friend Chérie and answer questions for voters.

It is important that voters hear from their representatives. Hillary choosing to only hold phone town halls while simultaneously limiting the questions people can ask does not improve transparency.

These will be done weekly, and if you have questions that you want my opinion/stance on please contact me on my website. Those questions will be added to the list and answered.

What a day!

I spent the morning in Rockford for their kickoff to summer parade. I followed that up with yard sign deliveries in Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa county.

Now it’s time to finish it off with my Village Baker pretzel!

This district truly covers all aspects of my life.

Muskegon County is where I was born, raised, and made my first real estate investment. My memories include going to the air show, summer celebration, or celebrating the Fury winning the colonial cup.

Ottawa County is where I ran my first business and started my non profit that kept our lakeshore beaches clean.

Kent County is where I first ran for office, invested in real estate, and helped to ethically develop Grand Rapids while serving as a Planning Commissioner.

It is time we elect someone who has been part of this district instead of someone seeking to get rich off of it.
