We had a great turnout for our first storytime of the year! Despite the rain the kids enjoyed holding baby chicks and planting a variety of seeds. Join us for our next one on April 27th to see how the chicks and plants have grown!

To ALL egg customers for Sparks Springs Farm. "The girls" ARE BACK.

Egg laying is back to normal with the 48 "new girls" and the 38 "old girls". Yesterday we collected over 50 eggs.

So no restrictions for the dozens you want for Christmas baking. Still holding our price to $3.50 a dozen.

Reminder to order your fresh Thanksgiving turkey with Sparks Springs Farm . One month before you can pick up your turkey directly from the farm, 2915 Sears Rd., Spring Valley. This year's birds are an extremely healthy group and live on our pastures. Contact Gregg with a text at. 937-305-8994. Pickup will be Nov 18th from 9 am to 3 pm.

Thanksgiving will be here soon. Reserve your fresh turkey from Sparks Springs Farm. We are again offering our pasture raised turkeys for sale on Saturday, Nov 18th. 9 am to 3 pm at 2915 Sears Rd. Spring Valley. Send text for reservation to. 937-305-8994. This year cost is $5/lb. We are planning for a good selection with weights 16 to 22 lbs, with average about 18. These turkeys have been raised the traditional way to 22 weeks. There is a limited quantity.

Fresh whole chickens from Sparks Springs Farm are ready. Text to 937-305-8994 if interested for pickup this weekend (Friday July 7th to Sunday July 9th) then they will be frozen for sale. Roaster size 5 to 6 lbs, $4/lb.

We had a fun evening hosting the Lions Club with a special presentation by the Dayton Ballroom Dance Club!

Big thanks to Dayton Ballroom Dance Club for teaching the Bellbrook Lions Club some cool moves tonight at Sparks Springs Farm for their annual officer installation. Great fun! This is community at its best.

We love seeing the creative ways our guests transform the barn for their events! Last month a special cow loving boy celebrated his 1st birthday with adorable personal touches and a bride-to-be was on cloud nine during her bridal shower!

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. We have a winner to the 2023 Hop Climb at Sparks Springs Farm when Cascade #3 reached the bar 17.5 feet high on May 26th. There are few close seconds with Nugget #2 and Cascade #1 reaching the bar on May 28th. Hops should be ready for harvest in mid-August to late September.

Kentucky Derby is over, but the hop derby is just starting with the warmer weather. The "Cascade Triplets " are at 8 ft (just half way up). The "Nugget Duo " are about the same. If you are cheering for the underdog "Cascade Mini" is only two foot up the line. As the race continues, you can now comment to the date you think the "first hop reaches the top" (HINT: 17.5 ft to the top)
