Competed in my first competition yesterday. Had fun and learned a lot. Biggest lesson is to not try to cook to what you think the judges will want and just be yourself. Overall pleased with the results. Finished 11th out of 22 and considering there were some professional competition, not at all disappointed in the results. Will definitely get a call next time. Special thank you to my Sous chef and teammate DarTanya Gardner !
