Let's look at the word "professional" for a second. Most of you use it incorrectly.

Professional, as in, relating to a professions. A profession being something a person gets paid to do.

Not anywhere in these definitions is there anything relating to skill.

Sure, it can be implied that to make money on a profession it would require some skill, but I've known some professionals who were, well frankly, quite terrible at their job.

If you wish to refer to me as a professional photographer, I'll allow it, as it's very true, however if someone asks about my skill, please use a different term to describe it.

Just because someone makes money doing it, doesn't mean they're good at it. Your worst coworker is still getting paid, after all.
