My first-ever plant purchase was a Fiddle Leaf Fig.
Aww, I get teary eyed thinking about it; the plant that made me a mom 🥹🥰

SKKKKKKREEEETCH! Memorable moment over, I'm about to lay it all out there. This plant is a DIVA.

This plant is notoriously finicky! So many people in the plant world loathe this super moody plant, because she is hard if not sometimes impossible to please!

She loves bright sun- but doesn't want it touching her leaves.

She loves to drink (haha don't we all?!) but will rot if given a drop too much, or too soon.

She needs to be rotated at every watering to remain straight and tall, but HATES to be moved. (Pro tip: she's easily distracted, so if you whisper her sweet nothings when you rotate her, she'll forgive you and keep her leaves).

AND she refuses to live anywhere that's too hot, or too cold preferring temperatures between 60-85*F.

When she's not happy, you will know. She'll shed her leaves right in front of your face, taking a little piece of your heart with each drop.

If you're a Fiddle servant (😆😂), I mean owner...how do you keep yours happy?!

Beyond whispering sweet nothings, I spoon feed mine organic grapes while her other peasants fan her. We always bow down in her presence. She is the queen!!

I put together this memorial planter in honor of my furr-ever best friend, Brutis.

This was his water bowl. 🥹
I saved it to use for something keepsake-y and today was the day I made it happen.
As I put it together, I couldn't help but wonder if there were other people that would want to make planters out of their animal's dishes? 🤔🤷

Anyone interested in pet planters? Maybe donate profits to the animal shelter?!

Thoughts? Feelings? Suggestions?

Our first private party is in the books! Thank you Stanwood Co-op Parents for choosing to strengthen the bonds within the coop community with Succulents and Sips! It was a much needed Mom's Night- can't wait to do it again. ❤️❤️
