Merry Christmas to all of our wonderful customers, friends - and of course our outstanding team!

Fat Mary’s saw tremendous growth this year. During the second week of December alone we served well over 1000 people! We’ve added lots of new menu items and countless valued customers.

We’ve been honored to be part of your special events and holidays and family gatherings. You’ve trusted us with your family’s special moments and invited us into your homes. And we do not take that for granted.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today we are thankful for our wonderful friends and customers. As usual the pit stayed full and Jenni kept 6 ovens burning all week with enough Carrot Soufflé to get Erath County’s BMI into the danger zone.

Howdy Friends,

Thanks to our faithful customers, Fat Mary’s is once again SOLD OUT for Thanksgiving! As much as we appreciate your calls, we are ultimately limited by pit space around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We do still have limited space for Christmas orders and will be releasing our menu around Dec 1. We wish everyone the happiest of Thanksgivings.

We have pit space for about 9 more hams and 8 more turkeys for Wednesday delivery and we will be sold out again! Hams are 8+lbs and $50each. Turkeys are 15-20lbs and $50each.

Howdy, Friends. It’s Jon Koonsman with Fat Mary’s catering. And I am honored to walk a mile in her shoes.

I’ve been neither the perpetrator nor the victim of domestic violence. However, three decades in emergency services have given me some insight as to the destructive effect domestic violence has on both our families and our society. And having spent my life surrounded by strong women, it is exceedingly difficult for me to imagine how a man might justify such cowardice.

Perhaps he’s frustrated by his own inability to open a pickle jar or squeeze into those new skinny jeans? Maybe learning to drive a stick shift has gotten the better of him? Miss that big sale at Pottery Barn?

Men, here’s something I know for certain. Domestic violence speaks to the weakness of the perpetrator – not the victim. Strong men do not hit women.

Never.

We at Fat Mary’s are very honored to be part of Cross Timbers Family Services first annual Open House and fundraiser. It is a partnership we value and look forward to being a part of for years to come.

So be a real man. Walk a mile in her shoes. And for Pete’s sake, y’all love each other.

I can’t express how great it was seeing all of you helping with such a great community cause. If you helped by cooking, cleaning, plating, delivering, buying a plate or just showing up we greatly appreciate it all! Trust me when I say every little thing did not go unnoticed. Great success comes from a great community, and we have the best! Thank you again for letting us be a part of your BIG Day!

When we decided to provide one deserving Erath County family with a Thanksgiving feast for 12, we had no idea it would be so hard to narrow it down to one. So we didn’t.

Jennifer Koonsman will be up all night making two Thanksgiving dinners for 12 - complete with 8 sides. Yup, 8.

Fat Mary’s has smoked enough meat for Thanksgiving to feed over 2,000 people. Thank you, Friends. And Happy Thanksgiving.
