Christmas on the Farm at Waterloo Farm and Dewey School Museum December 2nd and TOMORROW December 3rd 10 am till 4 pm

Waterloo Farm and Dewey School Museum

This re-creation of the holiday's traditions will include tours of the farmhouse, the authentic log house, and eight outbuildings. Hand-decorated greens, home-made baked goods, and gift items will be available for purchase. Live music will be among the offerings for this homespun weekend. Full concessions will also be available.

Grounds admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (62+), $2 for children age 5 to 12. Children under 5 and WAHS members are free.

At the farmstead, natural decorations set the scene in the 14-room farmhouse, where costumed guides recount the activities that might have taken place in each room at Christmas time. Long ago days on a Michigan farm will be brought to life once again as singers and musicians perform traditional holiday melodies. The savory scents of the season will fill the air as dinner is prepared in the warm farm kitchen, reviving memories of the folks who once occupied this historic farmstead.
Visitors will also be welcomed into the log house by a family preparing Christmas Dinner. The Gift Shop will offer items for sale to fill stockings and remind us of former lifestyles. Baked goods, jams, jellies, and other tempting treats will also be available. Wreaths, swags, and table centerpieces made of fresh greenery will be available for purchase in the Ice House. Be sure to visit the blacksmith working at the forge.

There's something for everyone at this re-creation of "Christmas Past."

DigitalCrumbs: 12th Annual Festival of Lights Light Parade 2023
Someone in the crowd told me to calm down and that only made me more stressed. You can see the stress in these photos... I calmed down once I saw Santa and I managed to get better photos. The first rule of photography I learned was to never show your bad ones... I'm brake this rule often. I hope you enjoy the bad ones.

DigitalCrumbs: Created these graphics for the 12th Annual Festival of Lights, promoted the event, and was a part of the last few meetings of the planning committee. It was great to be apart of Festival of lights again. I don't know if anyone recognizes these designs but I created these a while ago and used them back in 2018 and 2019 for festival of lights. A bit rough but they did the job. Thank you to everyone who participated and enjoyed FOL. Here's to next year!

Incase you don't know what elf stops are, Local businesses set up fun activities for kids to do here in downtown Stockbridge. Like number 10, where you and your kid can write a letter to Santa and take a photo with him at the Historic Township Hall thanks to the Stockbridge Township. SRSLY Stockbridge will be having their elf stop there too as well as our Gingerbread Contest & The Stockbridge Boy Scouts

I had the pleasure to photograph the Grand Opening of the Stockbridge Area Senior Center! It was today from 11 to 1pm. State Rep. Julie Brixie was there, Stockbridge Township, Stockbridge Village, and so many others. It was great to see everyone together. I am excited to see SASC's future events!
