✨ One Year Anniversary ✨
One year ago, Petal It Forward was just an idea - and to be honest, I wasn’t sure how it would all come together. I didn’t know much about nonprofits, and my knowledge of flowers and the event industry was minimal at best. What I did know was that beautiful flowers shouldn’t go to waste, and that sharing them could bring joy to people in the community.
Since then, we’ve coordinated more than 40 donations and shared around 1,000 arrangements with local care facilities. Each arrangement has been a reminder that small acts of kindness can have a big impact 💓
All of this has only been possible because of the people who have supported this project while I’ve *tried* to balance it(sorry for any delayed emails 😅) alongside a full-time nursing career and raising two little ones. I’m especially grateful for:
✨ Our volunteers, whose time and energy keep this mission sustainable. The BEST!!
✨ My husband, who has supported me from day one and often comes up with the best ideas(including the name 😉).
✨ Our families, who help with the boys at the drop of a dime so I can be out rearranging and delivering.
✨ The florists and event planners who coordinate donations with their couples and champion this effort even when it can require extra coordination. You all have been so gracious!!!
✨ And the generous couples who donate their flowers - the very heart of Petal It Forward.
