✨ One Year Anniversary ✨

One year ago, Petal It Forward was just an idea - and to be honest, I wasn’t sure how it would all come together. I didn’t know much about nonprofits, and my knowledge of flowers and the event industry was minimal at best. What I did know was that beautiful flowers shouldn’t go to waste, and that sharing them could bring joy to people in the community.

Since then, we’ve coordinated more than 40 donations and shared around 1,000 arrangements with local care facilities. Each arrangement has been a reminder that small acts of kindness can have a big impact 💓

All of this has only been possible because of the people who have supported this project while I’ve *tried* to balance it(sorry for any delayed emails 😅) alongside a full-time nursing career and raising two little ones. I’m especially grateful for:

✨ Our volunteers, whose time and energy keep this mission sustainable. The BEST!!
✨ My husband, who has supported me from day one and often comes up with the best ideas(including the name 😉).
✨ Our families, who help with the boys at the drop of a dime so I can be out rearranging and delivering.
✨ The florists and event planners who coordinate donations with their couples and champion this effort even when it can require extra coordination. You all have been so gracious!!!
✨ And the generous couples who donate their flowers - the very heart of Petal It Forward.

To everyone who has donated vases, purchased merch, contributed financially, or simply cheered us on - thank you 🤍

This weekends gorgeous donation courtesy of a lovely couple and delivered to a local nursing home by a few of our amazing volunteers 🫶🏼 topped off with sweet cards from some kiddos, too!

This weekends donation came courtesy of a lovely couple who celebrated their nuptials in Madison and were delivered by one of our amazing volunteers to our friends at Tennyson Senior Living 💞 thank you all!!!

Last week brought us a ✨record breaking✨ four donations! 💐💐💐💐

Thank you to those who donated(3 wedding couples & + ) and to our incredible volunteers who made this happen!

These flowers were brought to two local care facilities, Agrace & the Ronald McDonald House to spread some joy 💓

More boxes of flowers this past week received from Second Harvest Food Bank and delivered by our volunteers to a local nursing home & senior center! Many of the flowers donated to the local senior center were delivered to community members with their home delivered meals 💐 💓
