It’s opening night of Murder in the First on Broadway, a show that takes place in the roaring '20s, and nerves are high. The cast and crew are all a buzz backstage with the excitement of the lights, the sounds - and the dead body of big-shot Broadway Producer. There lies Jack Bialystock, shot in the back center stage before the curtain could rise.

Was the murderer a cast member, like Anita Part who’s making her Broadway debut tonight, or seasoned performer Sienna Stealer? Was it the sleazy casting director Colin Back, or a member of the audience like Megan Phan who somehow wandered backstage?

There’s only one way to find out: play the game Bullets on Broadway! But hold onto your overpriced wine—the murderer may be YOU!

There are up to 20 acting roles available each night. Actors will receive a character booklet with a character description, things you can share with other cast members and things that are to remain a secret. There are 3 rounds of questioning to assist you as you try to solve the mystery of who murdered Jack Bialystock. You will be given responses to any questions that may be directed at you.

Just want to watch? Non-acting role tickets are available as well for those who just want to watch the fun. While not required, guests are encouraged to dress in a 20's theme. There may even be some awards handed out at the end of the evening.

Themed refreshments & mocktails included in ticket price.

Our volunteer and donor support has given Community Players Inc. the opportunity to provide entertainment to Sulphur Springs and the surrounding areas for 40+ years!

In addition to our primary mission of furthering the Arts, we strive to provide opportunities to aspiring actors and actresses, as well as persons interested in the “behind the scenes” workings of theatre.

We also bring opportunity and fun to the children of Sulphur Springs and the surrounding area by offering a Children’s Workshop during the summer season. This has been a very successful endeavor that allows our children the chance to see what happens throughout the production of a play from start to finish, as well as give them the opportunity to perform or control the backstage elements of a performance.

There is no cost to participate in our productions (except nominal fees for workshops) and newcomers are encouraged to try out!

It has been our pleasure to provide entertainment to Sulphur Springs and the surrounding areas for 40 years!
