Had the opportunity to DJ the Summersville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner. Such a great event and fellowship with other businesses throughout Nicholas County. Congratulations to all the award winners. A special shout out to Lake Country 3WS for being awarded business of the year. On behalf of my self and the rest of the Lake County family, thank you for choosing us as the business of the year. We are proud to be apart of Nicholas and surrounding counties. Special thanks to the Summersville Arena & Conference Center for the beautiful setup, wonderful dinner and great hospitality. Copied from another DJ friend, this is spot on not to mention all the equipment DJ’s have to bring, set up and tear down. Most of the time we are the last to leave. I’m in no way talking bad about photographers or wedding planners. We are all professionals and deliver a product that our clients are paying good money for. At the end of the night we deliver on those promises of what they are paying for. DJ’s haft to be ready and well prepared. We are presenting a service in real time and any mishap will be noticed without time to fix it.

Bride: It's crazy; the price quotes I'm receiving for DJs are as high as those for photographers. DJs provide a day of service, while photographers have months of work after the wedding. It makes no sense that they are charging that much, especially when my wedding planner is taking care of most of the details.

Me: Imagine having months of planning and prep beforehand and then the responsibility of delivering on every detail and promise in real time with no ability to edit, retake, or photoshop mistakes. Those "moments" the photographer gets to edit months later were meticulously planned by your DJ, bundled with intuition and talent. If we don't do our job right, they can't do theirs. Your wedding planner isn’t in charge of executing moments in time. We are. You’re not paying for a “day of service” you’re paying for what you dreamed unfolding minute by minute live and in color.
