Today, I handed over a set of keys and officially hung up my hat. I’m very proud of what has been accomplished at Clarendon Club and extremely thankful for my time as the “CC Lady,” the memories that I’ve made, and the people that I’ve met over the past 7ish years.

I’m really excited about what the future holds… for the club, for me, and for Santee Cooper Outdoors. The new owner has wonderful plans for CC and it’s going to be even more of an amazing place than it already is. I can’t wait to share more info about that with y’all, so stay tuned!

Had a great fun day of fishing yesterday on Santee Cooper Lakes. Beat my Personal Best weight with 28 lbs and had a couple bigs jump off that could’ve had it in the mid 30 lb range. Seven bags weighing more than 25 pounds. Two bags over 30. And a 13-6 big bass.

Santee Cooper went NUCLEAR at the Phoenix Boats BFL Presented by T-H Marine Supplies on Saturday. Longtime local stud Brent Riley put together a massive sack of 35-3 to claim the win, including four bass over 7 pounds. That’s the 12th-biggest limit in BFL history. "Epic” hardly seems sufficient. Congrats Brent!

Rise and shine!!

School is back in session, so that means that this summer’s shenanigans with the #wildones are over (well, kinda) and that it’s time for Mama to go back to work. Beretta leaped out of the car as soon as I opened the door to get out and unlock the gate. She took off running wild and free! I believe that she’s excited to have her Mama all to herself and happy, happy, happy to be back in the woods. I enjoy bringing her with me to work. She is good company and a great protector. In truth, I am terrified to sit at my desk. There are mountains of things to catch up on and it’s a little overwhelming. Also, a not-so-little snake made a home in my office during our “summer break.” Mark my words - IF it is still here, I will find it and it will die! Nevertheless, I am grateful for the opportunity to work where I choose, when I choose, and how I choose. It is a huge blessing that I praise the Lord for every single day…. even when I have to deal with the snakes. #clarendonclublady #backtowork
