Born in the bustling city of Chicago and rooted in the warmth of her family’s kitchen, Glenda has always found her heart in the art of cooking. She moved to Madison in 1989 and, after years of hard work in various industries, finally embraced her true calling—bringing people together through food. In 2010, she honed her craft at Madison College, where she studied culinary arts and nurtured her dream of serving soulful, unforgettable meals.

As a dedicated mother and proud grandmother, Glenda has always believed that food made from scratch can create lasting memories and bring a little extra love into people’s lives. Inspired by her early days cooking alongside her mother and grandmother, she now shares that love with every meal from Woo’s Food to the Soul. Glenda specializes in soulful, scratch-made dishes—from her signature fried chicken that’s a tribute to her mother to four-course meals that bring people together, bite by bite.

Whether it’s a comforting daily meal or a catered event, Glenda serves up soul food that truly nourishes. With each meal, she hopes to reach people’s hearts, one soulful bite at a time.
