Shootout 2024 is officially over for us here @ Laurie Tent & Event Rental. What a few weeks it has been! Rain, extreme humidity and heat, and some perfect weather days too. We began setup on Aug. 14 setting up the 1st tents @ Captain Ron’s in the pouring rain. Then off to setup the Mini Shootout. It was a rough day emotionally for me personally with the absence of Margie Frazier but we persisted and got the job done. Then off to setup for the Hall of Fame dinner at The Lighthouse, much much more setups @ Captain Ron’s, dropping off items for the Poker Run party at Performance Boat Center and The Cave, setting up the street party, setting up for the Make a wish events, and doing some vendor setups. Finally takedown was completed this week. We also had a separate very cool setup for the Shootout Poker Run at Big Dick’s Halfway Inn. I have been lucky to have an amazing team at Laurie Tent and many great people that I have worked with for the Shootout over the last few weeks to make it all happen. Thank you staff, volunteers, the Shootout board, Leah Martin and Rickie Smith for everything. Can’t wait for Shootout 37 in 2025!!
