Visit the Town of Hiltonia this Saturday for their Annual Fall Festival! Stop by Friday in Downtown Sylvania and then Saturday at Town of Hiltonia for tons of fall fun!! 🍁🍂🎃

The Sylvania, GA Downtown Development Authority endorses the SPLOST option on the ballot! This is not a new tax but a continuation of a one cent tax already being collected on purchases by locals and anyone visiting and spending their money in our community! This extra cent adds up to big things for our county!! Transportation, roads and bridges, much needed updates to buildings and areas that are loved by all like the recreation center! A portion of this tax collected is distributed between the county, Hiltonia, Newington, Oliver, Sylvania, and Rocky Ford!!

🎃🌾 Exciting News for the 2024 Scarecrow Showdown! 🌾🎃

We had an incredible time last year doing our scarecrow showdown scarecrow decorating contest! Filled with creativity, fun, and community spirit we decided to bring it back this year with our 2024 Scarecrow Showdown! Only this year the rules are a little different! We are encouraging our local businesses and civic groups to decorate a scarecrow (any way you like) and bring it downtown to the downtown park (across from Little Dipper and the Fountain) to display for all to see!!!

We will then open up a Facebook contest during our Fall Festival on October 25th so guests can pick your favorite scarecrow! The contest will run from October 25- October 31st. A winner will be announced on November 1st!! There will only be one winner but the prize will be totally worth your time and effort for participating!

From quirky designs to traditional styles, each scarecrow can be a testament to the imagination and effort of our talented participants. We just ask that they remain appropriate.
