Went out to Lunkenheimers Brewery for their open mic last night to play a few songs since I haven't been playing many solo gigs lately. I've been busy playing with Sterling Junction - Band but that hasn't stopped me from working on music. I have another EP almost ready to record that will be a compilation of songs I wrote in my late teens through my early twenties. These songs are reflective of the music I listed to in my teen years and will feature covers of songs that were iconic for me in that time. In the meantime, go listen to my first release "Northbound EP" on all streaming services under "Dan Gordon Music".

I couldn't be more excited to finally share the artwork for my first ever musical release and upcoming Northbound EP! This has been in the works for nearly 2 years, between finalizing art, recording and re-recording.

My artistic vision has changed numerous times throughout the process and I want to give a shout out to all the people who have helped me make my dreams come true:

Most importantly, I want to dedicate this to my family who have supported me pursuing music since I started playing at 13 years old. My parents especially for having to endure my singing for nearly a decade before I could actually hold a tune, they are the real heroes!

Additional writing credits on "A World Worth Saving" goes to my little brother, Harry, who will always be my first bass player. It was his inspiration to write a song about saving the world that culminated into this song. He is currently attending an environmental college; how apropos!

I want to release this on the 29th for our leap year, and we're working down to the wire to make that happen. There is lag time in distributing to major outlets (Spotify, etc), so even if I can only have it out on YouTube at 11:59pm I'm counting it!

This is an intimate EP of one man and a guitar, and I can't wait for everyone to listen!

Happy Sunday and a (late) Happy New Year everyone!

Updates for the New Year:
1. I will be playing The Seneca Riverside this upcoming Friday (1/19) - an event page will be made shortly.
2. My EP titled "Northbound" will be released February 29th (it's a leap year!). This has been over a year in the making and I can't wait to finally get some original music out!
3. The name of this page will be changing to "Dan Gordon Music" or something similar. "The Danny G Live" has run it's course, and for marketing reasons I've decided that the change is necessary. My website will remain thedannyglive.com for the time being; updates will follow on that.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has come to see me play this past year. Without your support, I wouldn't be able to do what I love - playing music for the world to hear.
