Thanks to everyone checking in on my family this week during Hurricane Helene and then Hurricane Milton! 🌀 While we were spared and didn’t experience any severe damage, many of our close friends and wedding vendor families weren’t as fortunate.

My fave days are coworking days with Babe Crafted!

Let's hear it for the babes! 🍾 And all the awesome work they got done, plus new connections that were made

Yesterday's event, "Smoothies + Study Hall," was a fun one: we had an hour of focused work time then split off into groups of two to get to know one another

Everyone left with at least 1 new connection on a deeper level (not to mention getting the chance to see some familiar faces, too!)

Resist the urge to download all the courses, subscribe to all the new systems, sign up for all the quick fix tip guides, and trust that you'll take care of your couples in the way that feels best to you without the clutter. Pour into the workflows and tools that feel right (maybe even with some enlisted help) and know that you are what makes your business uniquely different.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​xx

I loved seeing this pop up on my memories feed this morning. 🥰 I posted this 4 years ago, little did I know that Scott had a proposal planned since Thanksgiving. He was trying to wait out the unexpected and sudden Covid quarantine that foiled his OG plan! He caved 12 days later and asked me after porch drinks in our sweatpants. This was even better than the original plan, if you ask me!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This just goes to show that many of our couples, and even future couples, are dreaming up their wedding. 👰🏼‍♀️ When it *finally* happens, they may have already been researching vendors and their dream aesthetic 👀

So take this as a friendly reminder: it is super important you’re showing up consistently and showing them who you are, even during the “slow season.”

Today on Saint Patrick's Day, I'm reminded of my 2018 trip to Boston with my new-ish boyfriend (now husband) to celebrate the festive green holiday weekend. 🍀​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I was rounding out my first year as an event manager at a new resort, and I worked almost every single holiday - I was in charge of them, after all! So when a winter month holiday came around where I could actually submit PTO - I jumped on the chance (especially to visit my new boyfriend's hometown for the first time). ✈️​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
While it was bitter cold and I kept my green beanie and winter coat on the entire time, I was so thankful to have a holiday weekend off! 🙌🏼 As event pros, we often don't have as many days off on holidays or weekends as we would like - all for the sake of putting our client experience first. ​​​​​​​​

🤔 Imagine being able to take an impulsive weekend getaway trip with your spouse the one weekend you don't have a wedding or event. You could enjoy a new city or festive celebration without having the guilt of that never-ending to-do list you left at home. That's what I love most about my position as a wedding pro VA: I provide this stress-free time away for my clients regularly. ​​​​​​​​

They can take the day off without worrying about their couples, knowing I'm answering emails, checking in on the workflows in their CRM, onboarding their newest couple in Aisle Planner, or ticking things off the list while they enjoy. It’s officially December, which means for this gal, it’s BABY MONTH! ✨👶🏻🎄

While I would love to say that my only emotion is the huge smile seen in this photo, that would be a lie. 🤣 I’m nervous, excited, anxious, overwhelmed, and beyond happy - all at once!

I’m spending this weekend wrapping up client projects and Honeybook builds before officially going on maternity leave. Fellow mamas: any tips while I wait this new little addition out over the next few weeks?

I meant to post this on Easter but I forgot. I lost one of my best childhood friends this past week and I’ve been in a numb state ever since. I’m oh-so grateful for my understanding and amazing clients as I navigate the next week or so, finding my way back to normal. Or my attempt at normal 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just want to say thanks, and if response time is a little slow, or my page is a little quiet, I’m still here. I’ll be back. 💕

Wanting to be successful is a good thing, but it shouldn’t be the main focus. As Oprah says, success will naturally follow if you work toward being significant. 🙌​​​​​​​​

Of course, I want to be successful.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
But my main priority for my clients is to make a significant impact on their business and lives. I focus on making a difference for my clients by giving them their time back and helping them impact more people, too.​​​​​​​​

The more people you impact, the more ‘successful’ you will be - whatever success looks like for you. And whatever success means to you.​​​​​​​​

✨T W O WEEKS!✨ I'm so excited that the official countdown to my new website starts today!​​​​​​​​

On Friday, I spent part of my afternoon on a live zoom call with talking to aspiring VAs who are at the beginning stages of their new career journeys. Wow, what a surprise to realize I was in their shoes only a year ago!​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I excitedly mentioned that I was kicking off my website redesign and then was immediately thankful for how well my little DIY site has served me this last year. No, it wasn't a custom design but instead a thrown-together Wix Etsy template. I was so proud of it that week Maria assigned our website homework in our VA course. I was so proud to post it on social media to friends and family, announcing my career move. And I'm still so proud of how it has helped me land some of the greatest clients turned friends this year.​​​​​​​​

I can't wait to show you all the hard work I've been pouring into this new site with the help of - I feel like it finally reflects me and the hard work I've put in this past year. ​​​​​​​​
