Confession: I almost forgot my own birthday this year (hello, mom brain 😅). Between juggling client projects and our little guy’s medical journey, life’s been a beautiful mess lately. But you know what? Sometimes the hardest chapters bring the most growth.

Standing here in my favorite purple blazer, cupcake in hand, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude - for resilient babies who teach us strength, for clients who become cheerleaders, and for the reminder that it’s okay to pause and celebrate, even when the to-do list is endless.

Year 33, I’m ready for you - messy bun, doctor’s appointments, client meetings and all. Here’s to finding joy in the journey, even when it looks different than we planned 💜

Thanks to everyone checking in on my family this week during Hurricane Helene and then Hurricane Milton! 🌀 While we were spared and didn’t experience any severe damage, many of our close friends and wedding vendor families weren’t as fortunate.

My fave days are coworking days with Babe Crafted!

Yesterday's event, "Smoothies + Study Hall," was a fun one: we had an hour of focused work time then split off into groups of two to get to know one another

Everyone left with at least 1 new connection on a deeper level (not to mention getting the chance to see some familiar faces, too!)

Not all is fair in the systems world of running a wedding business behind the scenes. Resist the urge to download all the courses, subscribe to all the new systems, sign up for all the quick fix tip guides, and trust that you'll take care of your couples in the way that feels best to you without the clutter. Pour into the workflows and tools that feel right (maybe even with some enlisted help) and know that you are what makes your business uniquely different.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​xx

I loved seeing this pop up on my memories feed this morning. 🥰 I posted this 4 years ago, little did I know that Scott had a proposal planned since Thanksgiving. He was trying to wait out the unexpected and sudden Covid quarantine that foiled his OG plan! He caved 12 days later and asked me after porch drinks in our sweatpants. This was even better than the original plan, if you ask me!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This just goes to show that many of our couples, and even future couples, are dreaming up their wedding. 👰🏼‍♀️ When it *finally* happens, they may have already been researching vendors and their dream aesthetic 👀

So take this as a friendly reminder: it is super important you’re showing up consistently and showing them who you are, even during the “slow season.”

Today on Saint Patrick's Day, I'm reminded of my 2018 trip to Boston with my new-ish boyfriend (now husband) to celebrate the festive green holiday weekend. 🍀​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I was rounding out my first year as an event manager at a new resort, and I worked almost every single holiday - I was in charge of them, after all! So when a winter month holiday came around where I could actually submit PTO - I jumped on the chance (especially to visit my new boyfriend's hometown for the first time). ✈️​​​​​​​​

While it was bitter cold and I kept my green beanie and winter coat on the entire time, I was so thankful to have a holiday weekend off! 🙌🏼 As event pros, we often don't have as many days off on holidays or weekends as we would like - all for the sake of putting our client experience first. ​​​​​​​​

🤔 Imagine being able to take an impulsive weekend getaway trip with your spouse the one weekend you don't have a wedding or event. You could enjoy a new city or festive celebration without having the guilt of that never-ending to-do list you left at home. That's what I love most about my position as a wedding pro VA: I provide this stress-free time away for my clients regularly. ​​​​​​​​

They can take the day off without worrying about their couples, knowing I'm answering emails, checking in on the workflows in their CRM, onboarding their newest couple in Aisle Planner, or ticking things off the list while they enjoy.
