Please join us in welcoming Stunt Coordinator JOHN CARMICHAEL as a guest for the 2024 Tampa Bay Toy & Comic Expo!

John got his start as an amateur boxer before being brought on to a film set to help train actors to fight. From there he started working in stunts and fight coordination on such films as The Transporter and Transporter 2 as well as the TV series Smallville.

In 2003 an injury sustained in an MMA match left him unable to walk but he has fought to regain much of his mobility over the years. Not one to let his injury take his livelihood from him he moved into stunt coordination and other behind-the-scenes roles beginning with the films 2 Fast 2 Furious and the Transformers franchise.

Mr. Vazquez was born in Florida of Cuban descent. His family immigrated to Miami, Florida from Cuba in 1964. He grew up in Tampa Bay, Florida and attended Manatee High School in Bradenton, Florida. His hobbies include working out and playing sports. Zachary speaks Spanish fluently. He has one brother who works in Physical therapy.

Acting is his passion, and he loves to showcase the best of his abilities. He is a constant student of the arts and firmly believes there is always room for improvement no matter what. The more he improves, the more he falls in love with the industry. One of his favorite aspects of acting is the ability to bring a character to life, from its earliest stages of conception to the finished onscreen product. Zachary accredits his work ethic and drive in acting, to the work ethic and drive he learned in the fitness lifestyle.
