My name is Maria; I am the mother of 3 fascinating little boys, a Realtor and last but certainly not least, an absolute photo fanatic, optimist and enthusiast. Taking photos has always been a highly desirous hobby of mine; I ardor taking pictures of anything and everything under the sun and stars. However, it wasn’t until I started receiving an abundance of praise for my photos and encouragement t
o go further, that I realized it is more than just a hobby … it’s my life’s passion! Photography is something that enkindled deep within my heart ever since I was a little girl; it is a gift that is believed to have been rooted from my Grandmother. Taking photos was the light of her life, just as it is now mine (aside from my children); that is, until she was heart achingly overtaken by Alzheimer’s. Through the years of battling such a tragic disease, she lost all ability to function, the ability to communicate and was bereaved of all the cherished memories that had once filled her mind. When her battle against Alzheimer’s came to an end in April 2014, she left behind thousands of memories that she had enshrined throughout her life. And through the grievous loss of my Grandmother, I gained the inspiration and courage I had always needed to pursue my photography. In my heart I believe I was given a beautiful gift that was intended for me to pursue; it is now my grandmother’s way of living on within me. Through this journey, the greatest endeavor of my life has become the ability, along with the given opportunities to share my passion, my gift, my forte with every client. Each and every photograph I provide comes from far beyond my camera … all the photos I take come straight from my heart. Photographs are one of the most essential elements of my life; the amount of importance they are to me is something I factor into producing the best photos possible for my clients. As a photographer, my main focus is to capture emotion; whether it is happiness, grief, affection, hurt, anger, pride, joy, love and so forth. My notion is that in order to capture a memory, you must be able to capture the true emotion, not matter what the occasion is. With every click of my shutter, I seek to capture the most glorified essence of life that is present within the lives of those I am photographing. I strive not only to provide my clients with photos that they will cherish for a lifetime; but I also aim to implement the ability to feel and relive the moments as the photographs are pondered through.
