Dear God, 💛

Be with the one tonight who has some tension in their family this holiday but is so desperately ready for that family tension to end.

And Lord, be with the person this evening who is feeling anxious about gathering because they are hurt by something someone has said or done to them or they feel guilty for something they have said or done to someone else.

And it just keeps being on their mind…over and over and over again.

Lord, tonight we ask that this holiday bring healing conversations and words to the families that need it.

And we also ask that you bring forgiveness and reconciliation and love to places that have been without it for far too long — in the way that only you can do. 🙌🏽

🙏 22 years ago, I was a college student... I lived between two border cities, Juarez, Mexico and El Paso Tx, USA, I remember being in the middle of the bridge, trying to cross Mexico after school, and I saw many people moving towards Mexico...running away from their cars, scared because something was happening thousands of kilometers away from us, but we felt the same in our hearts, the border officers taking us out of our cars, taking us for our safety. Under of a possible attack on the borders, they didn't know what was happening! I was stuck in the middle of the bridge for hours until the bridge opened to cross again, but we spent hours without knowing what was happening... the news started flying and there was information about New York, the Pentagon and the flight that crashed, It was the worst feeling and news that one can have without being family, or knowing in any way any of the victims or hero victims in any way! But the pain and feelings about it were as if some loved one had been murdered, It was as if I knew everyone from this attack!! The prayers started to sound loud! And strong!! It was at that moment, 20 years ago, an entire community, two or more countries in prayer, hugging each other, praying for each other, it was a memory, like many others for billions of people, that I will remember all my life.

Today we respectfully honor all the victims and heroes of this day, 20 years ago.

We have connected with a few local small businesses and they are so gracious to put out a donation box in their place of business to help raise funds for Future, Hope & Healing Center 💜

This weekend will be our first weekend to send out the boxes! You can find them at Azle Sting Fling 🥳
