This Saturday is extra special as we have bands traveling from a bit farther than normal! Stoked to have joining us from CT! They’re part of the family and we’ve been listening to them for the past couple of years, this band is so damn good! Also, from Albany, NY we have ! We came to know about this band a few months ago and it was a perfect fit for this lineup! Both bands have infectious rock tunes, perfect for a summer Saturday outdoors! See everyone Saturday!

Yesterday was a dream here at the kill shed! Back in January we started talking to and about booking here. Our son Ollie was newly born and we really wanted to expand what we’ve been doing and host something for kids. It’s so important to us that Ollie is exposed to live music and yesterday was a huge success in bringing 40 kids here for a morning set of catchy, infectious, and interactive songs and waffles! After the morning show, we got things ready for our not so secret evening show. To make it special we had our friends and here to showcase their businesses. The rain interrupted some of that, so please go give all of them a follow. Stand-up people who are creating and making things right here in our local community. We also had our friends .biz and open up the show with stripped down sets of songs from their bands and respectfully! Photos to come, but for being such big fans it was great to hear these tunes in this setting! So after a heavy rainfall for about 20 minutes and a Weather Channel app that was playing games with us, hit the stage. We were all a bit soaked by this point, but everyone banded together and turned it into a perfect evening. Many of you know Greg doesn’t do a ton of solo acoustic shows, so this was rare. A set full of originals, Souls classics, and covers in a backyard, a similar setting to how the Souls got their start playing shows. I can keep typing on and on, but this night meant a lot and we got to meet so many people who came here for the first time. The community surrounding the Souls is by far the most welcoming, fun, and respectful bunch out there, the real deal. Hope to see you all soon and props to Greg and Shanti for caring so much about your art, all the details, and ensuring the audience had the best time ever. P.S. to we cannot thank you enough for being such an important part of our place’s vibe! 📸

Ok, tomorrow is the big day! In the morning is - seriously, if you want your kids to have the best Saturday morning ever, experience live music, interact with other kids while doing so, and eating waffles… then this is your jam. Come at 10 for the waffles, music at 11. We have a few spots left, just hit the link in our bio to get a $15 ticket for your child! Then, we break and prepare for the evening. We haven’t been so secret about it, so let’s just get it out there… is doing a rare acoustic set! I won’t get to sappy here, but yeah… Our friends .biz and will be opening up. Holy crap! It’s birthday today! For anyone who’s been here, you know Dave. Essentially the head of hospitality making sure everyone is taken care of - a cold drink, a slushee from or the artists have what they need, he does it all! We should probably get this pic on a shirt, but we’ll see… Anyway; the best way you can wish him a happy birthday is to come Saturday night and celebrate! We’ve got an incredible lineup that you’ve seen us post a million times about and if you still do not know who’s closing out Saturday night, shoot him a DM. If you’re nice, he’ll tell you 😏
You thought we were done for Saturday? Hell no! Our friend Jeff of will be here! Here’s a view of what he had for sale at The Stoke Market a couple of weeks ago! Bottle openers, key holders, and larger wooden pieces of all your favorite bands that you love. Jeff’s work is incredible and you may have seen it at the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market, but now you can shop right in our backyard! We have a few pieces of our own 😏 Also, chat him up to talk through custom orders for all your personal and business needs🤘See everyone Saturday!
Also joining us Saturday, August 3 is our friend Mady of ! Here’s an example of an awesome tote bag she has for sale on her Etsy store! She’ll have some items for sale here in addition to just amazing conversation around some upcoming programs and classes she has! Mady has done some custom artwork for us as well that you will see in the house. So come hang and strike up a conversation with locals doing incredible work - these connections are so valuable 🤘
Next Saturday during our evening show we’re going to have a few friends here representing their companies and selling some of their products! One of them will be ! Rugged Paw is a safe and all natural pet care line! Once you meet here you will see all the love and care behind these products! So come next Saturday August 3 for music, food, drinks, and supporting some amazing local businesses!
Next Saturday is a big one! We have a double header starting off in the morning for the kids with ! All setup for the 2024 Stoke Market here at ! All the props go to for getting all of this together including designing the shirts, hoodies, stickers, flyers and table layout - she’s literally the best and none of this would happen without her. Ollie is home sick today so she’s home making sure he gets back to normal so he can continue his run of shows this summer! Will definitely miss you here today, but will do my best 🤘Also, props to for the hand embroidered totes and handmade candles! Stop on by before the big show at later!
Alrighty, let’s release some details for our nighttime event on Saturday, August 3. First, we have two porta potties coming - that’s huge never done that before. Second, will be here. Oh, and our friends Mike Pellegrino and Zachary West are playing. Not sure what happened, but left one of the names blurred on here?! She’ll get around to fixing it. Alright, so this is the coolest s**t ever. Our humble little spot will have a table at the Stoke Market July 20 at before the summer stage show later that day! We’ll be there with our shirts, hoodies, and other goodies while spreading the word about our upcoming shows including and maybe a little secret for the night of August 3 that you should keep your calendar clear for 😏 The list of vendors includes something for everyone and there will be incredible local organizations there to show support for. Make July 20 a whole day event in Asbury Park and start off right with the market before heading to the big show!
Let’s announce another show for this summer, without a flyer and a cruddy notepad screenshot! Returning for his fourth time, we’re pleased to have back on our stage. It’s become a summer tradition here, and we don’t take that for granted. If you haven’t seen him here yet, he plays a career-spanning set of tunes that will have you singing along and in awe of his shredding skills on an acoustic 🤘 Joining Fred will be - they’re on Fred’s label - and are coming from CT. Stoked to have them out after falling in love with their EPs over the last couple of years. will be traveling from the Albany, NY area and are currently recording new tunes! But damn, their record ‘Suburban Mayhem’ is just what you need in the summer time! Rounding out the line up are the house band (Brian’s band, and you’ve all seen and met here at shows!) plus who just opened up for Vinnie and quickly won over the crowd here!
