We offer an Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSBPA) sanctioned pipe, drum & band competition See you at the Shore!

In July 2008 under the sponsorship of the Pipes and Drums of Barnegat Bay the first Celtic Festival was held on the grounds of Christ Episcopal Church under the title the Toms River Celtic Festival. The festival continued to grow and in 2012 well over 200 bagpipers and drummers from as far away as Alabama and from neighboring states of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New York and Connecticut came t

o the Jersey Shore. With vendors selling everything from traditional American fare to authentic Celtic dishes, jewelry, pottery and more, a fantastic time was had by all. The pipe and drum competition at the festival is the largest in New Jersey offering 30 events for our competitors and is sanctioned by the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA). In October 2012 the Jersey Shore was ravaged by Superstorm Sandy and unfortunately our beloved 2013 festival was put on hiatus. In 2014 our festival has reemerged as the JERSEY SHORE CELTIC FESTIVAL! We will continue to offer an Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSBPA) sanctioned pipe, drum & band competition with vendors, crafters and more. We anticipate welcoming over 200 pipers and drummers from all over the east coast here to the beautiful Jersey Shore. We hope you can be a part of the excitement, the fun and all things Celtic!

Come out this Saturday and bring a lawn chair. Piper solos all morning long. Then we have 5 Pipe Bands and 4 Professional Pipers competing in the Afternoon. Massed Bands around 5pm. Food and beer will be available. Come support Bagpipes and Drums. Sign up for lessons too.

Please see the schedule as follows:
-Solo Piping - Begins at 8:00AM
-Solo Drumming - Begins at 8:00AM
-Open Piping - Begins at 2:00PM
-Band Competition - Begins at 4:00PM
-Mass Band - Begins Apprx. 5:15PM

Please note:
-See the registration tent when you arrive
-Bands will have a designated area to gather, practice, etc. for the day
-Be sure to bring your lawn chair
-Event t-shirts will be available for purchase
-Concessions are available for purchase
-Two Celtic vendors will also be onsite
-Mass band will take place as part of the closing ceremony immediately following the band competition

Revised schedule will go out in a bit. This only affects solo pipers. A couple of legit revisions were necessary. I'll post the band schedule here too. Note for those asking- mass band will be held as the closing ceremony.
