Before Time Nightclub…

There was Sutra. 💜

For many Orange County ravers, this wasn’t just another club.

It was where friendships were made.
Where birthdays were celebrated.
Where first EDM shows happened.
Where countless weekends turned into unforgettable memories.

Long before EDM became mainstream, Sutra gave OC dance music fans a place to call home.

And while the name on the building may have changed, the memories never did.

🎧 Were you a Sutra regular?
⏰ Did you discover the venue as Time?
💜 Or have memories from both eras?

Drop your favorite memory below and tag your rave family. Let’s see how many OC legends are still here.

Good Music.
Good People.
Good Times.

From breweries and birthday parties to weddings, rooftops, and everything in between, being a mobile DJ means every gig comes with a different view. 🎧✨

One weekend I’m playing for a packed dance floor, the next I’m helping create memories at a family celebration. The best part? I get a front-row seat to all of it.

From behind the DJ decks, I watch strangers become friends, shy people find their groove, and entire rooms come alive through music. Seeing people dance, laugh, sing along, and forget about their worries for a few hours is what makes this so rewarding.

Every event has its own vibe, every crowd has its own story, and I love being the soundtrack to those moments. ❤️

What’s your favorite type of event to attend?

Before Vegas had billion-dollar DJ contracts…

Before Tiësto, Calvin Harris, and the modern residency era…

There was Rain Nightclub.

And every Saturday, Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto transformed the Palms into a trance and progressive house paradise.

The crazy part? At the time, nobody knew they were witnessing the blueprint for what Vegas nightlife would eventually become.

Massive crowds.
Insane production.
A resident DJ as the main attraction.

Today that sounds normal.

In 2008, it was revolutionary.

If you ever danced under that legendary circular lighting rig, this one is for you. 🎧🔥

Were you a Rain regular, or did another Vegas club own your heart?

Before the NOS Events Center became the center of the SoCal rave universe, there was another place that thousands of ravers called home…

🎧 The Hudson Theater.

For many of us, it was our first rave.
Our first kandi bracelet.
Our first all-night dance floor.
Our first taste of PLUR culture.

Every weekend, ravers from Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire made the pilgrimage to San Bernardino. Gotham City Fridays, massive themed events, packed dance floors, and memories that still live on today.

But as the venue grew, so did the controversy. Lawsuits, city scrutiny, and public pressure eventually led to its closure in 2011.

Love it or hate it, Hudson helped shape an entire generation of Southern California ravers.

💜 Were you there?

Tell us:
🎵 What was your first Hudson event?
🎵 Who did you go with?
🎵 What’s your favorite Hudson memory?

Let’s take a trip back to one of the most legendary — and controversial — venues in SoCal EDM history.

🏛️ One building. Three names. Three generations of LA ravers.

Depending on when you entered the EDM scene, you probably knew this Hollywood landmark as:

🔴 Vanguard
🟣 Create
🔵 Academy

For some, it was where they discovered house music for the first time.

For others, it was where they experienced the EDM boom years.

And for a newer generation, it’s still one of LA’s premier dance music destinations.

What’s wild is that while the signs changed, the memories never stopped being made.

I’ve met people who had their first club night here, celebrated birthdays here, met lifelong friends here, and even found their future spouses on that dance floor.

So let’s settle it…

👇 Which era was YOUR era?

🔴 Team Vanguard
🟣 Team Create
🔵 Team Academy

Tag the friends you used to hit Hollywood with and let’s see which generation shows up in the comments.

If you were part of the Southern California EDM scene, chances are Avalon was more than just a nightclub.

It was where friendships were made.
Where favorite DJs became legends.
Where first trance shows turned into lifelong memories.
Where countless Friday nights somehow became sunrise.

From its beginnings as a Hollywood theater in 1927 to becoming one of the most iconic dance music venues in America, Avalon has survived nearly a century of change.

The music evolved.
The crowds changed.
Promoters came and went.

But Avalon endured.

Whether you experienced the GIANT years, discovered your favorite artist there, or recently attended for the first time, Avalon has been part of countless Southern California stories.

My question for you:

👇 What’s your favorite Avalon memory?

Did you have a favorite DJ set?
A legendary night out?
Your first trance event?
Or maybe your first time staying out until sunrise?

Let’s hear your stories.

Before EDC dominated the headlines, before social media, and before festivals became billion-dollar brands…

There was Go Ventures.

For an entire generation of Southern California ravers, names like Monster Massive, Together As One, Lovefest, and the Los Angeles Sports Arena weren’t just events or venues—they were memories in the making.

This carousel is my tribute to a promoter that helped shape the scene, a venue that became legendary, and a community that created friendships and experiences that still live on today.

And of course, a tribute to Reza Gerami, whose impact can still be felt throughout Southern California’s dance music culture.

Whether you were there for Monster Massive in costume, counted down the New Year at TAO, or discovered electronic music through one of these events…

This one’s for you. ❤️🎧

⚽ The World Cup is called The People’s Game.

But what happens when ordinary people can no longer afford to attend?

A ticket is supposed to get you into a match. Today, for many fans, it’s just the beginning of a bill that can run into the thousands after flights, hotels, transportation, and food.

Meanwhile, FIFA generates billions through broadcasting rights, sponsorships, hospitality packages, licensing, and ticket sales.

This isn’t about hating FIFA.

It’s about asking a simple question:

Should football’s biggest event remain accessible to the fans who made it the world’s most popular sport?

The atmosphere isn’t created in luxury suites.

It’s created by families saving for years.
It’s created by supporters traveling across continents.
It’s created by the people singing, chanting, and living every moment of the game.

Football became the world’s game because everyone had a place in it.

⚽ What’s the most YOU would pay for a World Cup ticket?

👇 Drop your number in the comments.

And do you think FIFA should reserve more affordable tickets for ordinary fans?

🎧 Every DJ has a story.

Mine started in the late 90s with a simple song: Robert Miles - Children.

Back then there was no Spotify, no YouTube, and no Shazam. If you heard a song you loved, you had to go hunting for it.

Then came Paul van Dyk, Benny Benassi, and ATB. Each track opened another door and pulled me deeper into electronic music.

But everything changed the day I heard Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 while browsing CDs at Virgin Megastore.

That wasn’t just music.

It was the moment I realized I wanted to become a DJ.

Today I’m still chasing that dream.

From playing brewery nights, private events, and local venues to dreaming about bigger stages one day.

And honestly? That’s the fun part.

The journey isn’t finished yet.

Who was the artist that made you fall in love with music?

DJ community, beware 🎧🚨
Scam emails and texts are getting way more sophisticated lately. They’ll pose as real clients, offer to “pay in advance by check” (who even uses checks anymore? 😂), or try to get you on a Zoom call with a sketchy link.
These people are getting sneakier, and it’s easy to fall for it if you’re not careful.
Stay sharp, protect your info, and double-check every inquiry.
