It doesn't really matter how long you've been with the special person with whom you want to spend Valentine's Day. All that matters is that you get to be together now. Is it a friend, a lover, a partner, a parent?

There are so many expressions of love but food is universal.

Have a special Valentine's Day dinner delivered to your door on Friday, February 14th. We'll be preparing a four-course meal for you and your loved one to share. All components will be delivered cold (not frozen) and ready to be reheated in your oven and served. Please feel free to take the credit for cooking. 😊

Order your special dinner now (pick any date from the drop down menu) knowing that we'll deliver on Friday the 14th in the afternoon before you get out of work. Leave a cooler outside if you won't be home or special instructions on where to securely leave your delivery.

Year in Review 2024 pt. 2

Well, what else did we do all year?

We did Private Chef work. I couldn't fit all the menus and photos in one in picture, but we had at least 7 private chef events from April to December, including cooking for the Saltonstall Foundation!

Private Chef dinners are a great collaboration with our clients - we all work together to create the menu to suit you and your guests' tastes and dietary requirements.

We helped people to plan birthdays, reunions, anniversaries, and just celebrate visiting the Finger Lakes for the first time! Ranging from 2 to 12 people, we did 3 to 8 courses at their request. Some parties had requests like; no pork, no gluten, all seafood, or wondered what wines should be paired with each course. No request is too unusual to ask about!

Let us know if you would like help celebrating a special occasion this year! We're booking now so get your date on our schedule and we can work out the details later.
If you have a kitchen, we'll do the cooking, the serving, the cleaning up and leave you with dessert. If you're looking for a more educational experience - let us know! We can teach you how to make your favorite dish at home. Plus, we'll travel! Staying on Keuka Lake? In Geneva? Watkins Glen? Ithaca? Elmira? Syracuse? Give us a ring!

Private chef work isn't all about parties, either. If you know someone who needs help at home, we can come cook a week's worth of meals to keep in their fridge or freezer. Ask us about regularly scheduling a time to come cook for you or a loved one.

Year in Review 2024

What did we do all year?? Well, we did a lot!

One of the things we did was change our business model to include Fresh (not frozen) Meals alongside our regular frozen Comfort Meals. Our Comfort Meal menu became more fixed as we studied the data from the previous years to determine which meals were our customers' favorites.

With a standardized frozen menu of our greatest hits, we were able to streamline our process and include monthly specials of more complex Fresh Meals.

If you look closely at the photo, you'll see that throughout the year we offered holiday-themed specials as well as the monthly specials. These holiday specials may have only been available for one single delivery day, like our Valentine's Day and Christmas Day dinners.

As we enter into our 4th year of business, it's interesting for us to look back at how we've grown and developed, tweaked recipes and processes, and have generally continued to hone our craft to bring you delicious meals that taste like homemade but don't leave you with a kitchen full of dirty dishes to clean.

Our frozen meals are still packed in aluminum so that you can recycle them, but we switched to a less expensive container so that we could lower our prices and consistently give you a 16oz portion. Soups and stews are still packaged in a deli style plastic 32oz container (filled to 28oz) that is strong and sturdy enough for you to reuse at home over and over before recycling it.

GUESS WHO JUST BOUGHT HALF A PIG!!!

We could not be more thrilled to support a local small business and get the most amazing pork in the process. Wixom Farm in Mecklenburg has the most delicious meat from an heirloom breed of pig - The Tamworth. Right now on our website, you can order a whole quart of sausage gravy to enjoy with mashed potatoes, toast, or you can order some of Polly's biscuits to make an amazing breakfast. You won't believe how good Chef Dan's sausage gravy is (this ain't no gloppy diner gravy!).

We here at Kiely's Cooking hope that you are having a wonderful winter so far - whether you celebrated Christmas or Winter Solstice or if you are still celebrating Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, we look forward with you to the New Year and wish you success in all your endeavors.

It is a traditional New Year's Day dinner in the South to serve beans, greens, ham and cornbread to ensure prosperity in the coming year. The beans represent coins, the greens represent folding money, cornbread is the beautiful color of gold, and pigs are said to root forward in search of tasty morsels in the ground. In honor of this tradition, we are bringing back a menu item from our Comfort Meal archives and serving it up all month long on our Fresh Meal menu.

Cajun Beans & Greens - made with your choice of locally made smoked ham from Wixom Farm in Mecklenburg, NY or vegan sausage. Both meals are gluten-free and dairy-free if you choose to omit the cornbread. Just let us know in the special instructions if you would prefer not to have the cornbread on the side.

Some things not to eat on New Year's Day are chicken because they scratch backward and lobster/crayfish because they swim backward!
