It doesn't really matter how long you've been with the special person with whom you want to spend Valentine's Day. Is it a friend, a lover, a partner, a parent?

There are so many expressions of love but food is universal.

Have a special Valentine's Day dinner delivered to your door on Friday, February 14th. We'll be preparing a four-course meal for you and your loved one to share. All components will be delivered cold (not frozen) and ready to be reheated in your oven and served. Please feel free to take the credit for cooking. =)

What we have here are a collection of Beer it Forward cards. Each card represents a pre-paid beer for the first responders of the Ovid Fire.

We'd like to extend our gratitude to our first responders that were bravely fighting the fire in Ovid on Tuesday night. Our locals have banded together and donated numerous drinks for our first responders. Feel free to come in and claim them while they're still here!

It's a mid-winter's dream!
Groundhog Day is the official mid-point of winter. We're going to get through this, people. I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone so *spoiler alert* 6 more weeks of winter and spring being right around the corner are the same thing.
And what do we crave in mid-winter? Freshness! No more stored winter squashes and potatoes. How does a vibrant, vegetable-filled, light stir fry sound? Made with chicken or Ithaca Soy's Tofu Kan. Locally grown mushrooms & cabbage? How about a house-made royal fruit sauce whose complex flavors are rich and sweet, perfectly balanced by a chef who LOVES sauces? Everyone loves taco Tuesday - well, let us introduce you to Mu Shu Sunday! It's like a taco - Mandarin pancakes are round and flat like a tortilla - just steam in the microwave for 30 seconds to soften and roll up the filling and sauce inside. Pick it up and eat it with your hands!

Year in Review 2024 pt. 2

Well, what else did we do all year?

We did Private Chef work. I couldn't fit all the menus and photos in one in picture, but we had at least 7 private chef events from April to December, including cooking for the Saltonstall Foundation!

Private Chef dinners are a great collaboration with our clients - we all work together to create the menu to suit you and your guests' tastes and dietary requirements.

We helped people to plan birthdays, reunions, anniversaries, and just celebrate visiting the Finger Lakes for the first time! Ranging from 2 to 12 people, we did 3 to 8 courses at their request. Some parties had requests like; no pork, no gluten, all seafood, or wondered what wines should be paired with each course. No request is too unusual to ask about!

Let us know if you would like help celebrating a special occasion this year! We're booking now so get your date on our schedule and we can work out the details later.
If you have a kitchen, we'll do the cooking, the serving, the cleaning up and leave you with dessert. If you're looking for a more educational experience - let us know! We can teach you how to make your favorite dish at home. Plus, we'll travel! Staying on Keuka Lake? In Geneva? Watkins Glen? Ithaca? Elmira? Syracuse? Give us a ring!

Private chef work isn't all about parties, either. If you know someone who needs help at home, we can come cook a week's worth of meals to keep in their fridge or freezer. Ask us about regularly scheduling a time to come cook for you or a loved one.

Year in Review 2024

What did we do all year?? Well, we did a lot!

One of the things we did was change our business model to include Fresh (not frozen) Meals alongside our regular frozen Comfort Meals. Our Comfort Meal menu became more fixed as we studied the data from the previous years to determine which meals were our customers' favorites.

With a standardized frozen menu of our greatest hits, we were able to streamline our process and include monthly specials of more complex Fresh Meals.

If you look closely at the photo, you'll see that throughout the year we offered holiday-themed specials as well as the monthly specials. These holiday specials may have only been available for one single delivery day, like our Valentine's Day and Christmas Day dinners.

As we enter into our 4th year of business, it's interesting for us to look back at how we've grown and developed, tweaked recipes and processes, and have generally continued to hone our craft to bring you delicious meals that taste like homemade but don't leave you with a kitchen full of dirty dishes to clean.

Our frozen meals are still packed in aluminum so that you can recycle them, but we switched to a less expensive container so that we could lower our prices and consistently give you a 16oz portion. Soups and stews are still packaged in a deli style plastic 32oz container (filled to 28oz) that is strong and sturdy enough for you to reuse at home over and over before recycling it.
