🌷Today, I had a reminder that every day is a gift, waiting to be celebrated. I visited a new beauty and wellness salon and decided to turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary celebration of self-care. 💖

💅🏽 I treated myself to a French manicure – a timeless classic that I usually reserve for "special occasions." But, guess what? Every day is a special occasion in its own right! So, why not sprinkle a bit of celebration into the ordinary moments of life?🌸

🌿 I caught that thought – the notion that certain things should be reserved for rare occasions. Instead, I've decided to gift myself the joy of a French manicure monthly. 💝 It's not just about the nails; it's about embracing the beauty of routine self-care, like tending to a garden of personal well-being.

The experience at the salon was nothing short of tranquil. Surrounded by beautiful music and a variety of foliage in a clean open space, I felt like I was in a serene oasis. The gentle strokes of the nail artist delicately created a masterpiece on my fingertips. It was truly worth every minute of the hour drive!🌸

🌷 So, here's to making self-care a monthly ritual – a bouquet of moments dedicated to nurturing the soul. Just like flowers need consistent care to bloom, we too deserve the regular nurturing of our mind, body, and spirit.

💐 Let's blossom together on this journey of self-love and self-discovery. Remember, you are worthy of these moments of pampering and joy. 🌸

This year, I've chosen a Word of the Year that's transforming my perspective and infusing every day with positivity - my WOTY is FABULOUS!

"Fabulous" is an adjective that describes something as extraordinary, exceptionally good, or incredibly stylish.

I've made a commitment to feel fabulous from the inside out, aligning my thoughts and actions with the infectious energy of fabulousness. It's more than just a word; it's a lifestyle choice. Amidst a midlife chapter change, I choose to embrace fabulous as my way of navigating it with grace, style, and a touch of sparkle. ✨

Reflecting on the wise words of my sisterfriend RR, who said, "Bring fabulous with you...even if you have to drag it kicking and screaming!" I've taken this to heart. Life is an adventure, and I'm determined to make it a fabulous one.

Every morning, I wake up with the intention to radiate positivity, kindness, and confidence. My Dearest Fabulous Friends,

As I reflect on this heartfelt quote by Edna Buchanan, I am reminded of the beautiful flowers that friendship brings into the bouquets of our lives. Today, I want to share a heartfelt tribute to a remarkable soul, the grande dame, who graced my life with her class, elegance, and unwavering love. (Pictured center)

Edna Buchanan's words resonate deeply, enveloping the essence of the bonds we form with those who become our chosen family. Friends are the blossoms that decorate the chapters of our journey; they are the pillars of support, the confidantes in our joy and solace in our sorrows. It's a reminder that even when things seem cloudy and uncertain, there's brightness and hope waiting for us beyond those clouds. So, why not celebrate the clouds while we wait for the sunshine to peek through again? Embrace the rain, dance in it, and remember that brighter days are on the horizon! 🌈☔️

🎉🌟 Celebrating New Year's Nourishment 🌟🎉

As we step into a brand new year, I wanted to share with you all something that's been an absolute lifesaver for me - Kitchari! 🍲🩷

Kitchari isn't just a meal; it's like a warm, comforting hug for my belly. 🤗 I often add my favorite seasonal vegetables which makes the variations unlimited! I indulge in this delicious dish several times a year, especially during my New Year celebration. For anywhere from 3 days up to 2 weeks, topped with a garnish of fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lemon, it becomes my go-to meal! 😋🌿🍋

👩🏽‍🍳 **Basic Kitchari Recipe:**🧑🏽‍🍳
Ingredients:
- ½ cup basmati rice
- ½ cup yellow split mung beans
- 1 tablespoon ghee or coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2-4 cups water or vegetable broth
- Salt to taste

Instructions:
1. Rinse the rice and mung beans until the water runs clear.
2. In a pot, heat ghee/oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they start popping, add turmeric and ginger. Stir for a minute.
3. Add rice and mung beans to the pot and stir to coat with the spices.
4. Pour in the water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until everything is cooked and becomes porridge-like (usually around 25-30 minutes).
5. Add salt to taste and adjust the consistency if needed by adding more water.

🎉 Celebrating the New Year in a New Way 🌟

As the countdown to 2024 began, I found myself reflecting on the incredible shifts in my celebration style. From grand galas and gorgeous gowns to tranquil beach vibes and a more serene evening, my New Year's has undergone a beautiful transformation. 👗👛 🧘🏽‍♀️

Gone are the days of extravagant parties and endless champagne fountains; in this new chapter by the Bay, it's all about a quiet, early dinner and the sparkling delight of Martinelli's blush. A favorite outfit still makes an appearance, though! 🥂🍽️👗

While I cherish the memories of lavish celebrations and fantastic feasts with fabulous friends, I've come to appreciate the simplicity and tranquility of my new routine. A phone call with my forever friend added that sprinkle of magic to my night, reminding me that distance can't dull true connections. 🩷🤗

Admittedly, there are moments when I reminisce about the glitz and glamour of yesteryears, but more importantly, I'm immensely grateful for this shift towards a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.💎🥰
