Well on a nice weekend like this one of our members Jeremy went on a road trip to a favorite trout spot good ole Cumberland River, and it was not a bust. Got down there with and caught a total of 15 rainbows releasing the smaller ones, one brown trout and to top it off a sturgeon. Boy was it a fun fight and an even better one day trip!

Who all is chomping at the bit for the first sit, the first sighting of a deer, the first interaction with a target buck. I know we are itching for the first 4am wake up and to walk up to our tree for the first peaceful sit.
Remember to send us a picture of your trophies throughout the year and we will post/share it on our page. Dont forget the memorable hunts you make every sit good or bad we all have them both. Stay safe

Ian made it out bright and early this morning for Indiana’s opener of turkey season and was able to connect on a big Tom after setting up less than 60 yards from where it was roosted! After gobbling all morning in the tree, the bird flew down and went other way so he had to do some crawling to get closer. Then after a couple short call sequences the bird was committed to coming in and he got set up quickly, but only had a small window to shoot prone through because the bird was coming quick!!
Congratulations Ian and good luck to all the turkey hunters out there this season!!

Ian and Jeremy were out tonight sighting in their new bows getting ready for turkey season in a couple weeks and look who decided to come by to do some scouting of his own! (Listen closely to hear him gobble!!)

We had two of our pro staff members Ian and Jeremy out this morning on some pheasant. They were working Jeremy's dog Zeus on the birds. With a grand total of 14 birds shot and seeing total of 16. I'd say they let some lead fly. Congratulations

Well this week has been very active for alot of our staff members! Dakota has decided to take a run at fletching his own arrows which turned out beautiful! Jon is finishing up a his and hers set of rods he built for pro staff member Cameron winning! Pro staff member Jeremy took down a big doe this evening for a good late season harvest! And lastly to take a step back we had a big couples date at full throttle adrenaline park, racing go karts, throwing axes, and some virtual reality. We have had an amazing week with some amazing people!

Well Dakota was able to get it done this evening on a doe. Unfortunately he did not have enough light to film. He will be filming Tomorrow however how he processes deer. Congrats on the harvest Dakota

Another one bites the dust at Reis Retreat. Erine a friend of ours got his first Ohio Buck. In 22 years. Congratulations glad you got this nice 8 point. In Brown County. He lives in Ohio just no where to hunt where he lives. The knife on the deers head is a gift from his kids.

Well folks the 2019-2020 deer season has come and gone, but the staff here at Double-tap outdoors had a blast this season. Between starting everything up and growing to where we are at now and continuing the growth we couldn't have done it with out you all. From everyone here we would like to thank you for the support. Please keep following us as we adventure on into this upcoming Spring turkey season. We will update everyone as the year continues. Stay safe and God bless
