Dear contributors and friends!

The MONDAY Journal editorial board is happy to announce the arrival of another great issue of MONDAY Journal which is published digitally on https://issuu.com/mondayjournal. This link will lead you to both MONDAY Journal #1 (2019) and MONDAY Journal #2 (2021).

The physical copy of the journal will be available for purchase on Amazon KDP next month. Also, we are planning to have a reading/release party in San Francisco later this year. We will keep you posted and email you more details in the future.

We are planning to have a digital release reading Online Friday, May 21 6:30 PST/9:30 EST which will be hosted by The Sacramento Poetry Center (SPC). Their website is www.sacpoetrycenter.org where you can find out all the information about this reading; you can also look it up on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/sacpoetrycenter and https://www.facebook.com/mondayliterary. We encourage all contributors to attend this digital event and read their work from the journal.

Cleveland Wall contributed her poetry to MONDAY Journal back in 2000 when she was a frequent reader at the "Covered Wagon Saloon" Monday night poetry series. In this video, she reads her poems published in the Fall 2000 issue of MONDAY. The second part of this video is dedicated to the memory of Susan Day, one of the founders of MONDAY Journal who tragically passed away before the publication was finally completed in 2020. Enjoy the powerful and sensual work of great Cleveland Wall who now lives and creates in Pennsylvania. Thank you, Cleveland!

My friends, I would like to share some sad news with you. Jillian Calley, who attended MONDAY reading at The Beat Museum on Feb 29,2020, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 27in San Francisco. She features prominently as a very attentive audience member in our reading videos. Although we only met her briefly at the reading, her interest in arts and poetry was apparent. She expressed a lovely interest in our literary project. For those of you who knew her, feel free to send your writing or observations about Jillian as we feel she deserves to be remembered in the next MONDAY issue. RIP Jillian. We will remember your beautiful smile.

Dear friends! Welcome to the new page of MONDAY. It's been over a month since MONDAY Journal launch reading at The Beat Museum in North Beach, San Francisco on 2/29/20. We would like to thank everybody who came and shared your poetry and stories, those who sent work as audio or video presentations or simply supported the project that started on the back of Covered Wagon Saloon as Monday night reading series in SOMA district of San Francisco back in 1999. It was an incredible evening of inspiration, reunion and rejuvenation of creativity. Below, we going to share some pictures and videos from the night. We hope you enjoy them.
